C6 ZR1 and Z06 are still able to compete nowadays.
Yup! Put a Redeye and a ZR1 together and they are dead even despite the 200whp difference. Z06 and standard Hellcat same.

@@_austind I can tell at that time the wing lifted. At full throttle it drops down. You can see it go from down to up to back down.

It’s incredible that the C6 platform to this day is a force to be reckoned with. Now let’s talk about the 720. Nothing but a fuel tune and it becomes batshit crazy. We are truly living the epoch of the car era. It’s all downhill from here. But hey, no sad faces here. The party is still young.

That vette driver eased on the throttle after it almost smacked the 720s..but I think it would have gotten it 🤷🏽♂️..who knows!!run it again
The McLaren let of the throttle before the corvette meaning it looked like the corvette was going to pull on the McLaren.
its crazy this vid is a year old and no one has commented how they both almost died lol. that zr1 got loose and super close to the mclaren when they first hit it.

Judging by the spoiler position, the 720s let off briefly when the Vette came towards him. I’d say that regardless of who spun, the 720s still would’ve had this run

No way, that’s scary. C6 ZR1 comes with 638 stock, what’s it putting to the wheels after those mods, maybe 850+? I know the ZR1 is a manual but god, 720’s are different.
That’s what tens of hundreds of thousands of dollars of lightweight material and sport mode traction and shifting get ya. Vette is way more raw and driver mod matters

@@MM-su4gu definitely. But watching drag times back when the 720 1st came out, it was walking everything. Stock. Now with a tune it's even more elusive. I've had 2 800+ vettes, c6 and 7 and know it sucks getting traction, especially at lower speeds

And I’ll say it again, this 720 MOVES for just having a tune! Have you clocked a 60-130 in it? My buddies 765 has DPs and a 109tune and runs 4.3; I bet this 720 is quicker which is nuts

@@Matt.e_Black it's okay brotha. I know he's in the 4s. I havnt clocked him myself. I don't believe he's faster than a 4.3 in Normal conditions ( but I cant say 100% for sure) but he's fast regardless! Always tough to get him a race 😅

Man you sure? The last 2 seconds of the race showed the vette’s headlights no longer decreasing. Which is an indicator that the other cars pulling has “stopped”. Idk how far into that gear the Vette was in. However, looked to me like the vette was getting ready to eat
@@pershot7 at no point did the vette stop losing ground. He kept falling behind until the 720s let off. And you can tell because the wing went up as he let off

@@m1stertwo if you mean at the part where the corvette looked like it was about to walk the McLaren, that was just because McLaren let off before the corvette. You can see the break lights switch on before corvette let off.

The vette gripped up after and was not catching up lol. So it would have been the same story if it gripped up immediately the gap wouldn’t have been as large but the mclaren would still be pulling.

Both cars are pretty slow for their mods… That was like a low to mid 5 60-130. 🤔
