      We have much more daily problems facing us. Our so called law makers are breaking the Law, stealing our public funds in Billions to other places in the world, maybe including China....We are here in Nigeria debating about one lousy Chinese food store policy. How many Nigerians can afford Chinese food in a week, including myself...lol...? The Chinese companies are in the North taking away our natural resources in Billions. Let's spend that energy, and our time to protest on better things of greater values.

    The first lady who said it rubs wrong is so infuriating. There should be no parameters that is justifiable for a Chinese Supermarket or any foreign business to disallow Nigerian citizens into a business environment. If Nigerians have done something that makes the company uncomfortable to do business, then they have to reevaluate if they still want to do business or how they want to improve security if that is the problem, but you can NOT disenfranchise the citizens of the host country. Chinese nationals and others also carry out illegal activities in other countries but people like her will shout more about Nigerians than the foreigners. Nigeria is not a country that allows such and I am completely disappointed with her view.

    • @godschild4615
      @godschild4615 6 месяцев назад +3

      @ekyonyiuke653. I'm so amazed at her comment. She doesn't talk like this before but she just lost my respect for her. This is the problem for people like her, they'll be quick to defend other nationals than they would another tribe in Nigeria. I pity this people, little do they know that you cannot even establish any business in China without a Chinese as a partner in the business, let alone discriminate against their people. They'll seal that business permanently

      Yep, if it is in the u.s you can at least sue their ass to he'll, but china ,doesn't obey the rule of law,cos they reject freedoms for citizen,you know people talk about western rascism,yes is there but you still have an avenue to fight back ,but when you are dealing with two currupt leadership and nations, it gets even harder for the citizens, china pays the leaders of third world countries to enter, and let them do as they please without respecting the law of that land,or their people, they build chinese institution in those countries without them knowing, don't be suprised , this supermarket may not be actually supermarket, there maybe something else going on there,and the only way to protect it is to cut off the indigenes, so that only the chinese citizen will have access to it , thereby ,protecti g what ever that is going on there,I don't for once believe that Nigerians did anything wrong that will demand that they do what they did,there is something much more.

    You're all absolutely right! It's important to strike a balance between moral duties and legal obligations. While a business may choose to operate as a members-only club, it is not acceptable to discriminate against individuals based on their nationality, race, gender, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
    Discrimination can take many forms, including:
    1. Direct discrimination: Treating someone less favorably due to their protected characteristic.
    2. Indirect discrimination: Imposing conditions or requirements that disproportionately affect certain groups.
    3. Harassment: Creating a hostile or intimidating environment.
    Businesses have a legal and moral obligation to ensure equal treatment and opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background. This includes:
    1. Fair hiring and employment practices
    2. Providing equal access to goods and services
    3. Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
    Remember, discrimination can have severe legal and reputational consequences for businesses. It's essential to prioritize ethical practices and respect the dignity and rights of all individuals.

    Topeeeeeeeee! Seriously! Discrimination against Nigerian nationals is okay in Nigeria??????
    When and where will you expect equality and fairness for your nationals???????
    I'm embarrassed that you put that out on the international stage. Please rethink that mindset and thought process.

      @@oyindafalode8103Will China allow a Nigerian go there, buy property, and then tell Chinese citizens that they are not allowed to go there? No. So why here in Nigeria? And you mentioned the elites, didn’t you hear that Nigerians (regardless of social class) aren’t allowed into the store? A store is a public space and should welcome all. It should not discriminate based on Nationality (something that cannot be changed). It’s mentalities like yours that will allow foreigners treat Nigerians like crap in our own homeland. No other country does or accepts this. Why should Nigeria?

    What do other people think of us when many males of our group prefer that our women's hair texture artificially looks like Asian, Mid-Eastern and European hair textures? When will the day come when our hair texture is preferred/welcomed on the heads of both of our genders? Must we delve into the depths of our damaged psyche?

    Dr Tope she's not too wrong in her view, the same Nigerians complaining, Most of them can't access the government house in their State because they are restricted. What I saw in this complaints is double standards.

      Good objectivity! As Nigerians, we deny ourselves entry in some government agencies.
      But because Chinese have been a problem to them, let me just ask? How many Nigerians eat Chinese foods, even their restaurant how many of us go there?

    • @lolab.80
      @lolab.80 6 месяцев назад

      Uncle, she is dead WRONG and so are you.Check the laws in developed countries and see if you can deny service to anyone based on RACE, religion, gender etc. In this particular case, Nigerians are the owners of the land with the Chinese as guests which makes matters worse. Government house on the other hand is Government property and every Government has the right to legally and contitutionally make the rules of entry; there are no Government buildings without security measures and they are NEVER based on RACIAL discrimination. To expect the same rights of entry at a Government house as that of a any service business (let alone a foreigner's SERVICE business) is just absurd! The level of rights you ascribe to a foreigner and their businesses over yourself and your own Government is mind blowing.

    If the content you discussed is a fact, it is the ultimate dehumanisation of the "victim, person" or the "victims, group" because the environment upon which the "crime", "the dehumanisation" took place is the only environment the "victim, person" or "victims, people" can exist as a person or a people with right of citizenship/s and no where else on this earth. The crime, if proven, must carry a long jail sentence and hefty fine as deterrence. Further the business should be confiscated. This is a serious issue that must not be treated with kid gloves. Think about it carefully. The victim was dehumanised based upon "who" he was, not on "what" he was. This can happen only in Africa nowhere else on this planet.

    For the very first time I’m disappointed in Tope’s sentimental opinion on this topic. There’s no justification whatsoever for discrimination against nationals in their own country. Certain rules could be applied to curb whatever reason they might have but to say Nigerians aren’t allowed to shop in a supermarket right in their own country?????? please
