Hello again! This is the video I mentioned before. I won't make this long, I promise:
Scenes in black and white are the present, because when Athelstan died, he took a big part of Ragnar with him (hence, leaving his world black and white). I chose to open this video with that quote because I believe Ragnar really meant that promise, but couldn't keep it, therefore this whole video. Also, I decided to use the second scene with that lyrics because it feels like he's trying to convince himself that it wasn't his fault, but a big part of him screams that it really was. Finally, I used the last three scenes as a way of showing Ragnar realizing Athelstan is still by his side, even though he's actually dead; as a way of illustrating that Athelstan's spirit lived on in Ragnar's heart.
That's all! The making of this video was hell, I really wish you all enjoy it♥

Hola de nuevo! Este es el video que les comenté. Antes de que lo vean:
Las escenas en blanco y negro son el presente, porque cuando Athelstan murió, se llevó una gran parte de Ragnar consigo (lo que dejó su mundo en blanco y negro). Elegí comenzar el video con esa frase porque creo que Ragnar lo dijo enserio, no como un chiste, pero no pudo mantener esa promesa, lo que genera el puntapié inicial para el video. Decidí usar la segunda escena con esa letra porque pienso que está tratando de convencerse a sí mismo, pero dentro suyo hay una vocecita que no para de decir que fue todo su culpa. Por último, puse las tres escenas finales tratando de demostrar que, aunque Athelstan estaba muerto, seguía presente, junto a Ragnar...Siguió viviendo un su corazón.
Eso es todo! Me costó un montón hacer este video, espero que les guste♥

When Athelstan died, Ragnar’s life spiraled into darkness and sadness. Athelstan was Ragnar’s light. Not Rollo. Not Floki. Not Lagertha. It was Athelstan. Athelstan was the only person Ragnar could completely trust.

For Ubbe there was the young King Alfred
Saxons all, who suited and complimented their natures.
Ryanair lost Athelstan and so to did Ivar his warrior Bishop.
In the end Ubbe left the King and both survived.
Let me tell you, I'm completely blown away by this. I've never thought about it that way, but you're TOTALLY RIGHT. I'm crying 😭😭😭

I've only just started watching this series, and videos like this really bring home to me how dedicated people like you are in creating something so moving. I love Athelstan and how he coped with everything and how Ragnar took him away from everything and everyone he ever knew, to a foreign land. But, after all that he managed to live a normal life, and a free one. Something he longed for. The chemistry these two actors share Travis and George are pure heaven they make it so believable and compelling to watch. I wished I'd found this show much earlier. People compare this show to GoT but, I think they are both very different in their own way. Thank you for a great video!

It was a kindred-spirit they shared. Such kind of spirit goes deep to the soul, so when they are parted the sorrow is so great that it yearns for the other. Read King Davids lamention for his kindred-spirit Jonathan: 2 Samuel 17: 25-27.....This Viking series was great.
