Trans need to have their own trans-dedicated events just for their kind. There are people who do not, never have - and never will accept the trans ideology. I think if trans had their own dedicated events just for their kind, it would be better on all counts. That way they could do their thing and they would at least be around other people who are into that type of stuff. Being mixed (Caucasian/Native American) & a Native Status card holder; this would be my nightmare. To go try to experience what I've missed out on & join in could be seen as highly disrespectful as I do not share the physical traits my grandmother, uncles & cousins have. I was not raised on our Rez as my mother is with a Caucasian man & unmarried (hes not allowed to live on our Rez unless they are married); being close to my culture & roots has always been an aspiration. I'm more worried of offending my people than I am willing to be humiliated or disliked when I'm told I'm wrong or rude for taking part. Being Native in my mind has always meant Resilience, strength, humility & Wisdom. I would hate to feel lesser of those over my DNA percentage

People shouldn't pigeon hole us natives into one category. This is just one tribe and not all tribes are like this. But they did change the rules.

And to hear about an Elder suggesting gender identity play a big role in the pow wow circuits just blows me away. That would be very offensive to me as well.
