I’ve never even thought about that! I took the pottermore house quiz like four times and got hufflepuff every time which made me feel sure about it! Interestingly my girlfriend thought she was anything but a hufflepuff but taking that quiz landed her in hufflepuff with me every single time😂 Black and yellow baby! Also thanks for the comment and continued support my man!
Thank you so much, Sarah!! I appreciate the comment more than you know! Editing is the easy part for me! Filming content and getting a bunch of good engaging footage tends to be the hard part. But I do believe I get better each time I do it!
thank you very much. Very good video The one I always have been looking for. Explaining/showing many details about a dental student's day. Thanks man.. 🌹
Slot preps are fun! Its tough to avoid damaging the adjacent tooth when you have limited supplies in sim lab compared to what we have access to in private practice
This is very true. I actually struggled so much with adjacent tooth damage until I used the method of leaving a thin wall of enamel on the outside of the box and then removing it by hand with a hatchet. I may someday be able to do it all with a bur but that day is not these days haha
Great video! Your video-making skills are improving so much from your first vlog! As an aspiring dental student, your videos give me an extra dose of motivation to continue studying for the DAT after a long day. I appreciate all your hard work on these awesome videos! Good luck on your exams!!
I'm so late to respond to this but thank you so very much this means the world to me!! I love making these vlogs and I love getting creative with the video-making aspect of them! I'm excited to see where they will be in the future!
I swear my camera was running in my apartment all morning waiting for this shot!! 😂😂😂 yeah you got me! We gotta do what we gotta do to get these vlog shots at time. Maybe some day I’ll have a camera man just follow me around and I wont have to worry about little things like this lmao. Thanks for the comment my friend and I’m glad you enjoyed!
Great vlog bro, I really enjoy this type of content. As for clearing up some desktop room and just keeping it manageable, I don't know if you've tried this but if you right click on your desktop home screen and click "use stacks" it'll organize everything based on what it is like a pdf or screenshot. It helps me manage my screenshots and keeps it nice and neat on a drop down.
Ahhhh yes so I need to start doing something like this. I always treat my homescreen as a base of operations. I save everything to my desktop and then move it to its appropriate place from there. When I’m making videos, insta posts, and bootcamp content, my homescreen fills up quick and every couple of days I go through and basically delete all of it and move some files over to my external hard drive. thanks for the comment my man, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!
Definitely one of the best content creators for dental students out there! ❤️ I’m currently a Dent 1 student and this video really inspired me. Any tips for my upcoming dental journey? Thankss! 😊
There we go!! Thank you so much for the comment and the compliment!! I appreciate that! I have tried to give my advice on the channel at every step of the way but I am constantly learning just like you will be! It is a massive learning curve getting proficient in dentistry and it is something that takes years to master so keep your expectations of yourself and your work realistic! I hope to continue updating you about my process and what I'm learning! Best of luck with school!
I love that!!! Yes absolutely! I actually just put up another shelf in my apartment that features all of the books! Such a great memory reading them and watching the movies for the first time!
Hey Stephen, how long does it usually take you to make Anki cards for one lecture? Also, how much buffer time do you leave for reviewing those anki cards before your exam day?
Thanks for the comment, Jay! It really depends on the lecture. Some lectures may take me three hours some may take 30 minutes. It depends on the length of the lecture and how in depth I go. For my operative lectures this week, I’m going super detailed so it may actually take me closer to three hours. Also the buffer time also depends but I usually want around a week to two weeks of pure anki card repetitions.
Hi Stephen, I’m a first year dental student too, and I hope that you can share the system of you’re studying, the lectures and stuffs like that so I can learn more because they don’t teachs us much in first year in my country, so I hope that you can help me with that please.🙏🏻
hello! I really enjoy your videos! Im just a highschooler looking around, I was wondering if your dental exams were open book/open note and were they multiple choice or a mix of everything?
Awesome thanks for stopping by and commenting! Our exams are definitely not open note or book. We are responsible for learning multiple weeks worth of material from multiple classes for our exams. The questions are also all mutltiple choice! Occasionally there will be a few True False questions but typically they are 4 or 5 answer option multiple choice questions which helps us prepare for the dental board exam that follows the same style.
Hopefully!! But never give up if you don't this time! If you know it is the profession for you, stop at nothing to make it happen! Best of luck, and keep working toward your goals!!
Yes they do!! But the exams themselves essentially function as 4 completely seperate exams just taken at one time in one sitting. Like when you’re taking one, you’ll have a physiology question then an operative question then a development question. theyre just all jumbled together! It is still a lot to study for all these subjects at once though but I’ve really gotten used to it!
It's honestly tricky. From my knowledge, med school curriculums are much more standardized school to school. Dental school isn't the same way. The courses we take and information we learn is largely different school to school which makes online resources virtually non-existent. It does depend on the course though. Gross Anatomy is the most standardized course we all take and I made a video about the resources I used for that class! ruclips.net/video/g7saGDKPQPs/видео.html Other than that, ask some of the older students at your school what they think!

Do they integrate your operative lecture exams into those Par exams? That is impressive to make that content connect!
Yes they do!! But the exams themselves essentially function as 4 completely seperate exams just taken at one time in one sitting. Hey man I am starting dental school this fall - I was wondering if there are any websites for question banks that you use for dental school?
It's honestly tricky. From my knowledge, med school curriculums are much more standardized school to school. Dental school isn't the same way.
