Everybody has skipped school at least once in their high school career, but I feel like I am a rather experienced high school skipper. So heres a lil animated high school story for yall! Honestly bro, I skipped school just so I could get high but the thing is I'd done it already so I thought everything was fine. I went to school the next day...and the principal called me into the office and told me that i had detention and if I skipped again I'd be suspended so yh...I smoke behind the bleachers👀👀

I got pretty lucky with this shit tbh. I missed over 100 days every school year from 10th-12th grade, but since I was still bringing home good grades, neither my parents or the school really cared. I was told by some younger students that they really started cracking down on attendance about two years after I graduated though.

That’s the same thing that happened to me. I would skip majority of the quarter, but pass all my tests and get good grades. I’m lucky my parents didn’t read English well and didn’t notice the absences 💀 All they saw was A,A,B,A,B

The first time I skip I ended up getting suspended. I went across the street to get some food but little did I know the manger and the school principal were locked in 🤞. They ended up calling my mom and suspended me 😭

The FBI part is so true 😂. One time, I missed the last lesson of the day and went to McDonalds. My fucking math teacher followed me to the fucking McDonalds, sat next to me and told me that I am in deep shit and called my mom while he sat next to me and I got my ass whooped so hard, I couldn’t sit the next week. My Math teacher is the biggest fucking snitch I have ever seen.

I have a strategy that was a little similar to that, but not exact. If I ever did something bad in school, I would have to make a note that had to get signed by a parent or guardian. Then I would have to bring that back to school. So what I did was, I asked my mom to sign a piece of paper that was some sort of dumb partition or something like that, then, I save that signature in my computer. After that, I would take my copy machine and upload that note into my computer and edit the signature onto the paper. And in the end, I will just print out a piece of paper with that same note and a signature on it.

I have found another method of skipping school that never fails. In grade seven, I taught myself how to throw up on command and now whenever I don’t want to attend a class or test I go into the toilets, throw up and then go to the nurses office, tell them I threw up and where so they can investigate and then ask to go home. Works every time

I literally ate chocolate, drank orange juice and water so I would get diarrhea and my mom picked me up from school and I didn't go for 2 or 3 days more, the first day I was dying but it was totally worth it for exams
To be honest, this just shows how authoritarian so many high school teachers are and is indicative of the problem with high schooling in general.
All too often high school is about enforcing discipline first and learning second. You skip a class, they go harder than an diamond bullet to the head; you answer the teacher back with a respectful and legitimate argument, you end up getting detention or lines (not coke sadly), you say or do anything, even respectfully that challenges the teacher's status quo, they go fucking mental.
But you go to university/college, you don't turn up; the lecturers don't give a fuck. You question what a lecturer says, most of the time they'll have an academic debate and thank you for asking questions and challenging them. It's almost like a lot of high school teachers are pissed off that there lives aren't going the way they wanted to and decided to take their problems in their lives out on high school students, which they fail to realise is one of the reasons why so many people skip classes. You know they're going to give you shit no matter if you attend or skip the class, so you may as well skip the class and have fun before the physical and/or verbal arse kicking.

At my school, teachers will text parents sometimes and then call them for online conferences if your grades start to slip.
me and a mate used to skip on the last lesson on mondays cause monday was extra hour of school and in british secondary schools you sometimes get 6th formers and they leave at 3 on mondays at my school, for year 10's we were tall enough to blend in with year 12's (even though we had uniform and they didn't) we would just walk with them and straight up leave and go to his and since the park next to the school was also PE territory there would be our class and he would try to go as stealthily as possible but I would just run through the bushes, his mum was chill with this but my mum would've sent me back to where I come from if she found out I did that shit so I would chill at his for an hour and come back (he lived roughly 2.5 miles away from mine which was 1.5 miles away from school so idk how tf I managed to get away with this shit.
That is the smartest method I ever heard! Could have used that when I was a student! Though I figured there is always a loophole.

Haha I had the older method of this where my mum was dropping me to school early in the year, we were late so she tells me to write the note and sign it for her. That school never once saw my mother's legit signature. Anytime I needed money for a trip or something I'd go to my dad, when I was late or bailing it was "my mum" signing me out. Skipping English Thursday mornings was the highlight of my week every week. 28 lates and absences on the report not so much

Yep exactly what I did for all my high school years minus the email. I just threw it in the trash after class and the school never bothered me. By senior year I had skip so much that I'm surprised nobody checked lol
