Dan I did your genius idea method. It resulted in one of my most popular threads which landed me a paid feature in a mainstream magazine. The magazine feature landed me 2 PHD offers from two different universities. I declined to focus on what I'm doing. Appreciate your content.
I'm afraid of rejection if I ask others to share my videos. I've realized that I need to overcome this fear and just start! Thank you for all your encouragement!
This one has me really feeling it, man. A sip of water while stranded in the desert. Didn't know that I needed to let out a few tears of weary self-gratitude. Only being 4 months into this, it's massively encouraging to get some perspective on the reality of my situation. Learn what works for beginners, start by investigating pain points & understanding relatability. Still a fool, still a beginner, but nourished to forge onward.
I started my instagram account as content creator and one of my post reached 638k. After that I stopped posting and changed my account from content creator to personal blog because I got too scared. And I’ve don’t this on and off. I was afraid to start again but watching this gives me a newer perspective on how much I didn’t know and that’s what I was afraid of.
10:24 This conversation about repetition being necessary is a good one. You need repetition to succeed and then even more repetition to sustain this success in the long term. Telling one story in 100 different ways is more valuable than telling 100 new stories.
My sticking point is I have never tried to structure how I speak, ever! I would just speak freely. Now I am overly focused on trying to be structured and I have lost my voice because it doesn't feel natural. My only solice and hope has come this week after watching your podcast with the Stan guys and one of them mentioned this Emma Chamberlain girl (I had never heard of her.) I checked her out and was bowled over by the sheer numbers of followers she has. She's given me a feeling of freedom that there is space for people on you tube who are less naturally structured and that I am not utterly failing by doing something more casual until I can get over the stress of trying to be more articulate with my thoughts when the flow of my thoughts are being fully blocked by these bullshit notions of failure because doing what everyone else is doing is not working for me at the moment because I have never had to discipline myself to speak in real time. I appreciate this Emma Chamberlain girl because there's freedom in her videos which I think I need to have for a long period before I can progress to feeling comfortable with structure because it does not come naturally for me. FAILURE! 😆
In beginner hell right now, but it's only the beginning. I'm grateful for the tiny tiny support I've had in my first month. I'm just going to keep getting better at it. The tips in the video were helpful. Thanks, Dan! (Breaking out of my shell and actually commenting instead of just thinking about it)
I feel Daniel König will cross 1M threshold within next 6 months, thanks to the compound effect at play here. Meaning he will making 10% progress, in less than 10% of the time(relative to his whole online presence). Wish u good luck Dan!!
Great video. The one thing that is keeping me trapped is finding the one niche idea to discuss on social media for growth. I feel like im all over the place with my tweets on X, but I feel that is how X is too.
I'm not even sure what my sticking point is really. I'm in my 2nd month of consistent content creation, mostly Twitter/X but also RUclips. I am going to try to focus more on content templates and commenting even more on others' timelines within my niche this month to see if that helps. Great video as always.
The content always gets me back in focus. The big lesson I’m getting here is to experiment and explore. In this experience, be analytical and see what works. Following the guidance given will serve as a path in the void. I struggle with consistency personally. I find that I create in bursts 1 day on, 3 days off. It sucks because I know it takes consistency. The bright side to this is that there’s a pain there and a problem to solve. Gotta figure this shit out😅. Anyways thank you for the videos and the added resources to help!
just pulled all my designs to rework them now i am questioning if i should redo my logo as well this video is serendipity and just what is needed I think
the thing keeping me trapped in beginner hell is not practicing other people templates with my own ideas, I do free style post and I gues that is why I don't have enough engagement. Thanks the video was very helpful.
I guess the one thing keeping me in the beginner hell is not knowing what value I'm meant to create. I've tried some stuff but it doesn't seem to work. I also have a lot of emotional blockages... they keep me from opening up beyond a certain point. There may be more things, but this is what comes to mind for now. Thanks for the value though... this video was really helpful.
I feel overwhelmed trying to grow an audience, build email list and write newsletter, learn writing, start a personal website, make products and sell them all at the same time. This is my beginner hell.
I feel that can’t focus on a niche and that my interests are too wide and don’t connect, I also feel I don’t have the proper knowledge in business to run one.
I always look forward to listening to these videos on Sunday afternoons and finally have a smartphone to film music-related content. Thanks, @DanKoeTalks . I really enjoyed reading this newsletter about the video last week.
That business sense, like most other senses, is cultivated like a skill. Some people just "have it" because they were raised in an environment that fostered it It definitely takes time, but hopefully these videos help
This is valuable! Hey Dan, I am not a native English speaker. My background is in healthcare, but I have transitioned to financial markets and now live in Canada. Of course, I can speak English fluently, but I am of Sri Lankan descent. I started a channel for Sri Lankans, believing it would make it easier to gain traction and reach my audience. (on personal life lessons as a young father, which i never learned as a youngster growing up as an adopted orphan). Do you think it would be a worthwhile effort to create content for English-speaking audiences as a non-Caucasian person? My concern is investing time and effort into a project that may ultimately be futile-one that no one needs and that brings me no fulfillment.
I appreciate it, but I would argue 10 to 15 min is worthless (in the cases where it takes much, much longer than 15-20 minutes to learn something) If you can take 12 years to go to school to learn how to speak and do basic math, you can take 45 minutes to learn something you'll be doing the rest of your life
As a side note, you can always watch 10-15, pause it, and come back to it. There's multiple videos worth of info in one here, hence "full guide" in the title
pov: you are in the beginner hell and while having a walk and reflecting on ideas Dan Koe drops this video
i forgot to add walks as tip number 8 for escaping
no need, most of us are already aware of that tip), at least I hope so
I usually only listen to these during my morning sunlight walks lol
REAL
Great tip. It cant be stressed enough @@DanKoeTalks

Wild bro haha. Respect
I've also read the newsletter of this video, this is really needed, thanks dan! 💯
Wish I could travel back in time and tell my past self - but I guess we all do the best with the level of awareness we have in this moment ✨

I’m so glad I found this channel. Thank you, your work is appreciated.
"You are the CEO. Act like it."
You never let us wallow in self-pity. Lol. Thanks for this, Dan. Absolutely FILLED with gold!
"people are as afraid as dming someone as they are to speak to speak to someone on the street" facts

thank you so much Dan. After watching this, will go on a walk. Have taken notes in Cortex as well. I am currently stuck in the beginner hell phase.
Good work, Devin.

Love the content. 🔑
Absolutely brilliant-so much value here-thank you! I'm trying the framework right now. 🙌

Thank you Dan lots of value very helpfull as a beginner on content creation ✨

10 copywriting frameworks was my most valuable take away!
Im doing horrible in RUclips but god knows I have a positive message on ima keep posting video here

You rock…. I need this guidance!

I like the repetition. I need it.

Hey Dan
Thank you so much for your valuable insight sharing here from ❤your heart.
I am drifting in
Public Speaking
Writing
Know thyself
Divine timing
3-6 months? Those are rookie numbers my friend
beginner hell = endless distractions
"we're not doing that"
Learn, Share, Grow and Repeat.
Thank you 😊

Can you do a video on how to capture and extract money out of gurus?
One shot for every time you say ‘Kortex’
I'm in beginner hell again because I removed that SEO super optimized descriptions that don't deliver any value to the user xD
I think I am mental
Im enjoying my beginner hell :)
One week so far but I have decades of other business experience behind me
Hii koe big fan bro
I was trying to be Marcas Aurelius 😂
Dan Koe just dropping free gems and people have the nerve to say it’s repetitive… wild 🤯
Still trying to figure out what to write about
Dan, why creating a personal brand is so important today?
Dan, not all of us have this BUSINESS sense. Even if you'll BRAINWASH brains here with "how to do it", its still tough to some of us to catch it.
That business sense, like most other senses, is cultivated like a skill. Some people just "have it" because they were raised in an environment that fostered it
It definitely takes time, but hopefully these videos help
Not as smooth but feels like a more accurate term would be - beginner purgatory. 😅

Walk. 🚶♂️ 💎🗿 probably the most walk type walk in a while.
Perfect timing for this video. I’m 3 months into my RUclips journey but I know my people are out there. 1000 subs are right around the corner!
