LOL I feel SO OLD! I remember going to Blockbuster with my family to pick out movies on a friday night and go home with popcorn, make it,and enjoy the movie. I LOVED Blockbuster it's official we're old! I think it's hilarious to have to explain to kids these days and even the generation below mine. I remember Records, walk mans,CD players, and MP3 players. Also can't forget the dial up and having to be off the phone to use the internet and vice versa.
MichelleK AND having to use a dictionary instead of just searching a word on google. Lol! Also having to actually read books to do homework and learn anything.
I love all your kids, they're amazing. Parker though, for whatever reason really speaks to my heart. He is so determined to be his own person, and you'all are so supportive of him just being him, well, it makes me happy.
I'm 18 and even I have such fond memories of going blockbuster as a kid! I'm sure I was part of the last generation to experience the stores & be conscious for it, but its still BLOWING MY MIND that they had no idea what it was 😳 be kind and rewind
Bailey reminds me of pippi longstocking :) especially with the hair and what she did with her eyes in yesterday’s vlog, but also the clothes she likes to wear! ❤️ I wonder if she knows the character.
I love how they say "when we were kids..." when explaining PEZ, Blockbuster, and VHS Tapes. Either im a very old 20 year old or my hometown was behind on the times. My family had all of that growing up and they were the best times i can remember.
I loved watching you explain Blockbuster and VHS tapes. I taught preschool for a while and it amazed me what kids didn’t recognize. We had a corded phone in the pretend play area and the kids didn’t know what it was. Makes me feel so old!
All these kids already know how comedy and acting works and they try little comedy bits all the time. It's very cute to watch. I hope they all find their way to maybe act on stage or in movies or just something else creative like that because they do all got it in them.
I love the ballinger family. The family causes me so much joy .watching these amazing kids grow up .everything about Duncan. And bailey's heart and Parker 's amazing uniqueness. Chris makes me laugh
Chris and jessica explaining blockbuster makes my 30 yr old self feel so old .. block buster was pretty expensive for my family so my favorite memory was going to the mom and pop shop video rental store every weekend w. My parents.
Listening to y’all describe blockbuster is bringing back a lot of old memories. The old blockbuster in my hometown is now a furniture store, but I spent many Friday nights picking out movies (and later dvds and video games) to watch with my friends and family.
Ah! I loved Blockbuster! I remember being so devastated when Blockbuster closed down. It makes me feel super old that the children didn't know what VHS tapes were.
I love the secret Santa between the youtubers. This is actually how I discovered your channel last year amongst a few others with the first year exchange.
I’m 18 and I miss VHS 😂❤️ I think I was the last group of kids to have grown up with a VCR. My grandparents still have theirs working, so I recently watched all of my old princess movies from it. Oh the nostalgia!!
I worked at a video store for almost five years. The boss and her family are still some of my best friends. When I started the boss' two boys were about Parker's age (back in about 1987). Now they are grown up and doing their own thing out in California. The mother, Carolyn (my boss) moved out there to be with her sons. Sadly, the father, Jim passed away a few years ago. We still converse with each other over the internet and sometimes they come back to Grand Rapids, MI (where I live) to visit. Those were fun years and where I developed my love of movies. I still have a Movie Night every Friday night with a lot of friends who come over. Great food, great movies and great fellowship! Wishing your whole family a Blessed Christmas and exciting New Year!
I loooove Parkes descriptions of the hot sauces... " good.. flavourfull..I couldn't handle it for a second... almost fell asleep.." Made me laugh out loud:D he is just one of a kind !
Here in Cincinnati we still have video stores that even still has VHS tapes for kids movies, called Family Video. Wee love picking out our movies still from the store.
Am I the only one who’s heart aches when the kids didn’t know what a tape was lolol I immediately felt AGENT but when Christopher and Jessica explained it, it brought me RIGHT back!!!!! Omg thanks for the blast from the past @ballingerfamily
Y'all explaining what Blockbusters was and how the whole renting a movie and what VHS tapes were.. I'm laughing so hard because they looked so confused and you two are just strolling down memory lane. We've hit that age yall!
Is anyone else super excited for the big hot sauce and parker describing the smells is hilarious!! I think the tortilla was stopping jacob from getting the hotness lol
Hi! Omg im so early i just came on to youtube and was about the watch what ever was in my recommmended and this popped up right then! Aaaah. Also bailey is so grown up now
The blockbuster thing makes me feel 100 years old cause I used to go to blockbuster or Family Video very often as a kid on Friday’s after school! Us 80’s and 90’s kids had it good!
I have to admit i started watching your channel because i am a huge fan of colleen's and Rachel's, but i love your family. They are so beautiful and your kids are sweet and a real joy to watch.
I remember blockbuster as a kid but I was growing up on the verge of its closing down so I don’t feel too old. Plus all of the kids were born after the closing so it’s understandable that they don’t really know
Listening to you talk about going to the video store brought me BACK. Some of my most treasured childhood memories are standing in my section with my friend who was sleeping over deliberating over four or five options and usually always landing on Mary Kate and Ashley 😂 and my mom always let me get a baby bottle pop too
I beilive it’s either itsMommylife or it’s R life because they both seem like a family channel who knows what parents enjoy ( blockbuster) and what new born enjoys (toys)
I didn’t realize how difficult it is to explain what “rewinding” is. I had one of those separate “high-speed” rewinders. I thought it was the coolest thing.
Wow the boys are really coming along at gymnastics! Way to work hard and advance well to them!! The box was awesome and had some cool stuff in it. I love the secret Santa idea for family exchanges. Have you ever thought about trying to connect the kids with pen pals online from other countries to learn more about international and cultural differences. They would likely love it. They could do an ornament or similar exchange during shared holidays. Your advent calendar inspired me to do "The 12 Days of Christmas" gifting with my sweet little dog. She's gotten a new toy a day and plays hard with it. Today she was taught to unwrap presents (wrapped in white tissue paper) and she loved the paper as much as the toy if not more. She made confetti for new year's eve. ;) Loved the scene where Duncan relaxed with the new Binky! The ice skates in the barbie calendar were cool. The other stuff in that particular calendar were kinda blah for advent gifts. Parker's eval of the hot sauce! LoL
I always loved going to blockbuster when I was little (I was born in 2000) and picking out a movie and then getting the candy and microwave popcorn at the checkout, soo many memories. You should show the kids some vhs tapes and see what they think of them. My family still has a couple of them and our old vhs player, it's cool to keep stuff like that.
I would go to blockbuster as a kid all the time and loved it! I am 29 and hearing you explain what is was to your kids just made me feel so old! Lol hearing it explained sounds crazy 😂😂😂
Christopher and Jessica explaining Blockbuster and VHS is hilarious and also makes me feel old
Kassandra Youngblood same and I’m only 17 🤣
I'm 13 and I remember going to DVD libraries. (still do tbh)
I’m 21 and I know what is it
1990 kid 😂 Feel ancient now
How much y’all wanna bet he 20
The blockbuster explanation 😂😂
Lol
I agree with Duncan I think Santa was your secret Santa
Mallory Jenkins yes
Minnie Mouse is a mouse, BUT her best friend’s name is Clarabelle and SHE is a cow!
I see you! i see you!
👍
Agreed
Minnie mouse is a mouse but she is scared of mice
She is a mouse
" I cannot handle it for a second, I almost fell asleep"
The most relatable thing Parker has ever said. I felt that in my soul.
Bailey is getting so tall !!
Loving her stylish hair!!
Yea
Yessssssssssss
I love explaining the history of Blockbuster hahaha. I'm 25 but I still have the memories of going to the video store; it was so exciting!
me too! and i’m 17!
Duncan might just be my favourite human, he’s so freaking wholesome
Think about it though.., Minnie Mouse is married to Mickey Mouse so she could be a cow. She could’ve taken Mickey’s last name
Thats so true. Lol
I don’t think Mickey and Minnie are married. I think it’s like Barbie and Ken u know
@@myviewfrommycouch2721 : that's true, but I still believe she's a cow lmao
No they bro and sis
Aatiqah Fayers that’s some aLaBaMa stuff right there
Minnie *MOUSE* 😂 I agree with you guys that that white is her underskirt
2:44 Duncan mimicking Jessicas “oh my gosh” is one of the greatest moments
LOL I feel SO OLD! I remember going to Blockbuster with my family to pick out movies on a friday night and go home with popcorn, make it,and enjoy the movie. sparkdala I’m 18 too and I was thinking the exact same thing!
SAME!!!
this is the earliest i will ever be!!!!
i love your videos guys!!
Maybe Parker is thinking of clara belle cow or something! Minnie is definitely a mouse like Mickey!
Parker describing the hot sauces are funny. It’s always something different everyday
Bailey reminds me of pippi longstocking :) especially with the hair and what she did with her eyes in yesterday’s vlog, but also the clothes she likes to wear! ❤️ I wonder if she knows the character.
I absolutely love how well mannered yalls kids are! They are the sweetest and so stinking smart!
I love how they say "when we were kids..." when explaining PEZ, Blockbuster, and VHS Tapes. Either im a very old 20 year old or my hometown was behind on the times. My family had all of that growing up and they were the best times i can remember.

I’m deaddd that just made my day he’s said the fun fact is that minnie mouse is actually a cow 🐮 😂💀 13:32
Duncan’s little “vlogmas” in the intro kills me! He is so cute!
I just have to say I love Baileys red hair !!! Red really suits her . It looks gorgeous on her .
13:24 That laugh at the end was too cute! I’m meltingggggg
Haha no she’s a mouse. But that was cute
“Um... Santa Claus”
~Duncan Ballinger 2019
I died
Explaining blockbuster 😂😂
We’ve been talking about Bailey being all grown up but your oldest son is becoming quite the man too! Loved the video
All these kids already know how comedy and acting works and they try little comedy bits all the time. It's very cute to watch. I hope they all find their way to maybe act on stage or in movies or just something else creative like that because they do all got it in them.
That gymnastics teacher was not having it today. Anyone else think that?
I love the ballinger family. The family causes me so much joy .watching these amazing kids grow up .everything about Duncan. And bailey's heart and Parker 's amazing uniqueness. Chris makes me laugh
Jessica talking about how she didn't think she had an actual memory anymore is a MOOD
Awww buddy....imagination is everything but....Minnie is a mouse! 💖 you guys!
Duncan’s laugh warms my heart ❤️❤️
You should do a video with your kids trying to use a VHS & cassette etc. 😂
Omg so funny and a record player or how we had to send the first txt lol
Chris and jessica explaining blockbuster makes my 30 yr old self feel so old .. block buster was pretty expensive for my family so my favorite memory was going to the mom and pop shop video rental store every weekend w. My parents.
Parker’s description of the hot sauce smell was amazing 😂💕
Parker dance walking off his flip at 12:25 is adorable
Listening to y’all describe blockbuster is bringing back a lot of old memories. The old blockbuster in my hometown is now a furniture store, but I spent many Friday nights picking out movies (and later dvds and video games) to watch with my friends and family.

“I didn’t know I had an actual memory anymore” 😂😂😂 same
We are the same age Jessica and it was wild explaining to my kids what Blockbuster was. Lol
Parker and Jacob are so good at gymnastics, it's so impressive!
I didn't even know that youtuber's did secret Santa, I think that's pretty cool.
Ah! I loved Blockbuster! I remember being so devastated when Blockbuster closed down. It makes me feel super old that the children didn't know what VHS tapes were.

Here in Cincinnati we still have video stores that even still has VHS tapes for kids movies, called Family Video. Wee love picking out our movies still from the store.
Wow!!! I knew Parker loved and had a talent for gymnastics but I didn't realize Jacob took classes, too. He was great!!
Parker thinking Minnie is a cow is so precious, especially given the reasoning why. I almost couldn't handle it!
Am I the only one who’s heart aches when the kids didn’t know what a tape was lolol I immediately felt AGENT but when Christopher and Jessica explained it, it brought me RIGHT back!!!!! Omg thanks for the blast from the past @ballingerfamily

Parker's explanation of how the hot sauce smelled was so funny.
Is nobody gonna talk about parker's awesome explanation of how that hot sauce smelled? And then after he ate it? 😂😂 I love that kid
Lol I’m dying at the explaining of the VHS tape. I’m 21 and going to Blockbuster was one of the highlights of my childhood. Lol
I love Parker’s all to dramatic and hilarious descriptions of the smell of all of the hot sauces😂 He really takes you on a journey🤣🤣
The good ole times - Jessica Ballinger 2019 as a someone born in 1982 I am like yes Blockbuster 😂
The blockbuster thing makes me feel 100 years old cause I used to go to blockbuster or Family Video very often as a kid on Friday’s after school! Us 80’s and 90’s kids had it good!
The looks on their faces learning about blockbuster! 🤣 I think I'm officially old! Hahaha
Parker is just hilarious, someone needs to find him a permanent stage to perform on!
Minnie Mouse is a mouse. I don’t know what Parker is seeing under her dress! Lol!
He said it just like Colleen or Kory would 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He is seeing her bloomers

Woah I’ve never been this early!! I love you so much Ballinger fam!💞
Parker’s so good at critiquing 😂
Emma and Ellie? My name is Ellie and my sisters name is Emma 😂😂😂
I love how they are explaining tapes to them. I watched finding Nemo on a tape and that was my everything when I was younger.
Sorry Parker Minnie is a mouse
Maybe Minnie (obviously a cow 😂) is called Minnie Mouse because she is married to Micky mouse... 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I’m Henry: It’s Clarabelle, her bff, that is the cow. :D
Marie Wood she’s right
Your not right Parker
Btw I was joking for clarificatipn
I remember blockbuster as a kid but I was growing up on the verge of its closing down so I don’t feel too old. Plus all of the kids were born after the closing so it’s understandable that they don’t really know
When Duncan picked up the Pez and excitedly exclaimed “Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh” 😭😭😭 my heart is just a puddle now

You guys explaining what a VHS and Blockbuster are to the kids made me feel ANCIENT 😂😂
I didn’t realize how difficult it is to explain what “rewinding” is. I had one of those separate “high-speed” rewinders. I thought it was the coolest thing.
love y’all and your amazing family !! 💕😊
😂 I remember "Be Kind, Please Rewind" on all the Blockbuster videos. Wow, has technology evolved!! Haha
What Parker said about the smell of the hot sauce 😂😂😂
I got the end of the Blockbuster/VHS era & still was shocked that they didn't know what either one was. They need to show the kids some tapes!!
Parker has convinced me that Minnie Mouse is 100% cow 🧐
Parkers descriptions are killing me cant wait for my daughter to talk now
Love you haven’t been this early this vlogmas season
Blockbuster Video! So iconic. "Be Kind! Please Rewind!"
Wow the boys are really coming along at gymnastics! Way to work hard and advance well to them!! The box was awesome and had some cool stuff in it. I love the secret Santa idea for family exchanges.
