The tween in the beginning is never really a cocky shot. for me it was always a lazy footwork positioning or racquet positioning where it makes sense to just spread legs and hit the ball from the back.
@@muffuffty So he wants to serve - obviously diagonally (crosscourt). The ball has to bounce first otherwise it is a point for them. The server hits a really bad serve, in fact hits it with the frame and the opponent got hit with the ball before the first bounce. That means the point goes automatically to the servers. But it was a total accident - and that one match point.
0:01 It's the usual PAIRE. 0:15 I also try to imitate the serve. 0:29 It's the usual BROWN. 0:42 Nice rally. 1:13 Did this match end in a double bagel? I'm more concerned about that. 1:25 Twin smash is cool! 1:39 His partner threw away his racket faster than anyone else. 1:57 Both the racket and serve were interesting. 2:18 Just a nice rally.
Indeed, and very hard to counter, even more than the underhanded serve. Problem is people and players have low respect for 'trick shots'. Hope that changes with increased need for variation in pace in modern game.
2:01 WAIT A MIN I need to know what in hell is going on here? Is that allowed the way his racquet is modified? and also why? Maybe he is handicapped somehow? I am so confused.
All these shots are amazing, but 1:39 is simply scandalous. This is precisely when tennis rules don't make sense. How are you supposed to dodge a 110 mph serve when you're standing before the sevice line ??? Are we gonna take into account that the guy could've gotten hurt ? In that case, isn't it absolute bullshit to grant the point to the servers ?
For sure, it's one of tennis's weirdest rules. Obviously the intent is to prevent players from trying to get hit on purpose to end points, but there are so many situations like this one where the logic breaks down entirely. Feel like there should be an addendum that if the ball isn't anywhere near going in the service box that it should be a fault. I guess then defining "near" is a bit tricky but surely something must be better than this.
1. They play with the no-advantage rule (often used in doubles to shorten the matches), so at 40-40 the winner of the point wins the game (and in this case the match). 2. The returning team is not allowed to touch the ball before it lands in the court. The server accidentally hit the ball with the frame and a player on the opposing team touched it with his foot before it landed. So the point goes to the server (the umpire announces "touch").
@@jakasprah3623 oh I see, thank you for the clarification. In that case, I'd argue for a special doubles rule specifically for serves that are very very clearly out of bounds and touch the non returning defending player, as they clearly didn't have the time to move away, since a serve is so fast. I think having this specific event happen, while within the rules, is quite an unfair thing.
Are we going to talk about the dude at 1:57 rocking those ugly ass shorts? He legit looks like he just came from playing a one-on-one with his buddy at the local basketball court 😂
soon, i will start to do that more and more. i just hate the scroll bar on the right side of the screen because i am not in full screen. gotta find a way to get rid of that
yeah youre absolutely right. True pros one day just randomly decide to enlist in a ATP1000 tournement and win the title. Why even bother playing at challenger level, no point. You are never gonna make it. Play the real tournements or go back to your club level sheannigans where you came from scrub. Damn challenger wannabe's, outrageous
yawn
I yawn at you

@@frankg.39 a lifetime of playing and following tennis says otherwise.
I think nothing will ever beat the doubles match point one it fascinates me
Also, wtf is this racket mr battistone lmao
Battistone made his own racket
Dustin Brown never cease to amaze me.
That double smash was anime physics level

not just that but sometimes ball comes at such low angle like its easier just do between the legs like alcaraz does similiar stuff works for him
1:39 is so funny. On match point accidentally hitting the serve with the frame. They were feeling so embarrassed too 😀
It won them the match!
What in the world is even happening in that point? 😟

i used to play people who served like that 😭
@@chargingTennisClips lol
Exactly! Only way I ever serve an ace.
I like the single person clapping
battistone’s racquet really has two handles?!?
Yes, it's a legal racquet, but not many players use it.
Yep. Saw him play live at the ethias trophy a while ago.
😮
He and his brother been doing it since yearss ago
Is he only doing that because of his serve? Because it would seem pretty easy to just toss the ball with your left hand 😝
0:15 Such good strategy haha

WHAT WAS THAT SERVE AT 0:23
What happened during the double where the guy served on the other one's foot, at about 1:50. I don't understand why suddenly the match ended
1. They play with the no-advantage rule (often used in doubles to shorten the matches), so at 40-40 the winner of the point wins the game (and in this case the match).

0:15 i dont you can serve like that . I mean there should only one bounce at the service box. how this point was given to the server.
These tournaments shouldn’t even exist these guys are never gonna make it

2:05 should be illegal am i right
no, it’s entirely legal. the racquet AND the serve
No you're not, as long as your feet don't land in the court before hitting the ball it's completely legal.
0.15 foul serve, second bounce needs to be outside the box
Lol what? Since when?
How is the second one not a foot fault? thats insane.
it is a foot fault. Clearly.
