Understand the logic very well. If you look at Adobe homes the insulation keeps the heat out throughout the building and when it gets colder the earth bags which serve as an insulator dissipates into the building to keep it warmer during the Cold nights. So I get that logic that you're speaking of. Thank you for the info. It's been often a problem that a new way of thinking and seeing a problem to fix is not easily accepted.

You mentioned hvac running through the attic. Here in the North hvac runs under the floors with furnace in the basement. So hvac energy loss isn't so much a factor.

Adding a radiant barrier significantly cools a traditionally vented attic. A properly air sealed, insulated, and vented attic should be within 10 degrees of outside ambient air temp. Pretty efficient and MUCH cheaper than a full unvented house. Unvented system needs an ERV system. If it's a new building, a well designed continuous insulation system is the best.

This technique is 30 years to late sounds nice but there's better alternatives for that building mark up
