georgiarose16,I am 61 years old and I still learn the songs of the Beatles, but the text is difficult, I'm Kyrgyz but thanks to the Internet and especially Your lessons, I have mastered many chords and rhythms of the Beatles.I forever love the Beatles!!! Thank You so much!!!
Well done fella I’ve been taught by you for a few years now and I’m pretty happy with my talent at first I almost thought Wally but I never judge by covers ( no pun) and after one tutorial I sat through I thought what a top man teaching the world the songs not just you love but we love thanks big fella keep on churning out the videos until there are no more songs left you have a following a massive audience so respect love good health and keep on rocking brother x
i tell ALL my friends about my favorite and wonderful teacher ,,I've done weddings private parties and playing in the parks here in New York because you are a simple great musician,,,THANKS LOVE LOTS
I have to give credit where credit is due and yes, you're a very good teacher my man. I love your tutorials and I want you to know they have been a fantastic help to me. You don't over complicate everything. You're very very good at this and I want to thank you for helping me. Bless you my good man. : )
my sister asked me to play this song at her upcoming wedding, and i have had a difficult time figuring out this tune (not the biggest Beatles fan--travesty, I know). HOWEVER, your tutorial made it very easy for me. Thanks for helping me make the happy couple just that--happy.
Hi, hope you don't mind me pointing it out, but on the bit in the last verse that goes: "Sing it loud so I can hear you..." etc., the chords are: G, A7, Bm/Gm, D, G, A7, Bm/Gm, D, G, A7, Bm/Gm/Bm7/E7, Em7, A7, Bb, D, D7, G, A7 Bm, Em7, A7, Dmaj7. Thanks.
Thank you georgiarose 16 for a another great tutorial. I'm having fun learning this song and because of you, and your strained voice, (giggles) enjoying Sir Paul's song outloud. Keep on Rockin' in the Free World.
georgiarose16, Im supposed to finish some important paperworks but....I'm hypnotized by how awesome you are and cant stop watching, listening to you singing, playing guitar.......!!!!
[My apologies, hadn't noticed that this was 5 years ago]. Hello fellow BEATLES fan, Have you ever tried it in "E"..??? Just drop the capo down a full note, (2 frets) and you're there. You may be pleasantly surprised at how easy the lead guitar riffs are played this way. Keep playing G...16, and thanks!!!
I wonder whether Paul started on an E and they sped it up, but the song starts on the F you’re playing. I get your saying what the chord shapes are but transpose to F as first chord to know chords haha
Awesome! a lot easier using a capo. Just wanted to say you should cover and make a tutorial for The Beach Boys - God Only Knows!!!! greatest song ever written.
Nice one Pete like that, makes me laugh when I see someone who wants to 'point something out' ffs! I've seen lots of lessons where I've seen bits of a song that I think yep that work then parts where it doesn't quite fit to the sound, I'm more grateful for the help that telling them they are wrong! Some people honestly don't get it! Rant overr your class Pete enough said.
The first chord you are playing is not a D, it is an F. Just because you put a capo on the third fret and play the same "shape" you would play if there was no capo and you were placing your fingers three frets down does not magically transform the notes you are playing, which are those of an F Major triad. The same applies for all the other chords; the capo on the 3rd fret transposes everything you say up a minor third. I know it might seem easier and more helpful to act as if that does not matter but you will never really learn music if you do not know which notes you are playing. Guitarists really need to start figuring this shit out, because we are the laughingstock of the musical world.
+sbonfiglioli Lighten up man. Most on here are happy to learn a song. The point for many of us is to make music not be masters of music theory. Give the guy his due. He plays well and teaches well too. Thus all the positive comments.

if you play the song a whole step drop..it really very basic:)
