- Three days backpacking 40 miles of the beautiful Dosewallips and Enchanted Valleys. Starting at the Dosewallips trailhead we made our way over Anderson Pass and dropped into the Enchanted Valley. From there, we made our way through the picturesque Quinault Rainforest to the our final destination at Graves Creek trailhead.
Nice video. Haven’t been to Anderson Pass since August 1997 (Anderson Glacier was still a glacier then) and been moved back here (KItsap) 9 years ago. Going to have to make the time to do this. Last time, went up the Dosewallips and out the Putvin Trail to the Hamma Hamma. So much beautiful scenery along the way.
I used to camp at the campground you stopped at, using it as a base for hikes on up the Dosewallips. It's sad they never fixed the washout on the road, but on the other hand makes it a nice stop when hiking. I'm planning to do this exact traverse from east to west up Dosewallips, Anderson Pass, and out the Enchanted Valley.
I don't understand the questions posted here about trailhead, out/back or loop - it's a one-way hike and you clearly titled it. Thanks for a good video to show what I'll be be going through, as it helps to have that content in addition to what is on AllTrails and WTA sites.,
Absolutely beautiful.
My favorite place to go backpacking. 💚
I have wanted to do this hike for 40 years...
beautiful! Will be going there early next month! Do you have a trail on alltrails for this? Trying to figure out campsites
Please post your loop!!
I’m doing this late June. Did you only hike from Graves Trailhead to Enchanted Valley campsite and back? I’m hoping to continue on and do the entire Lacrosse Pass and O’Neills trail loop. Novice hiker so hoping I’m not biting off too much! 67 miles :)
