You had more success w/ Gemini than other review/ demo vids I saw back in June/ July.. The deep olive shades Leo and Fire OG were giving people trouble in blending and color payoff. I also noticed that most people who struggled were either pink undertoned or neutral. I notice on my own skin, olive/ hunter's green shows up more brown than green , and I think that is where some people were experiencing frustration. Leo on the lid is gorgeous on you!

I bought this on the restock and I love it too! The greens just can’t be duped and the warm shades go so well with the greens. I can’t express how glad I am with my purchase. It is a shame though that the greens aren’t their own stack in the permanent line.
I love that you never use lashes! Neither do I and it's so refreshing of a guru to just keep their lashes. You dont need em anyway. Love you! I'm an avid watcher of yours!

I just bought this pallet last night because of the color story, brand history, and this year I wanted to buy 3 pallets only so this is my first. I watched a few well known RUclipsrs who applied the browns with the olive tones and made the worst muddiest looks, I was thinking that I'd need to return it but noooo, you saved the day. Real truth! I luv MELT Stacks and have most of them. I grab them during holiday sales b/c $58 for 5 shadows gives me buyers remorse. So when I saw $58 for Gemini, I grabbed it on the first launch. Was I in love with the matte colors? Absolutely! Was I thrilled with the matte performance? Not so much. I assumed the formulas would be different from the Stacks, but Gemini mattes are finicky . You just created the eye look I’ve been trying to get and it’s gorgeous. You’ve motivated me to practice with these shadows again and I will take your advice about the order in which I layer them. Can’t wait to see more of your looks with this palette❣️

YAAAAAS, I have been waiting to see how you’d feel about my all time #1 favourite palette. On my lazy days this is my go to look, because even without primer these shadows last thru my 8-9 hour shifts. I prefer tapping on Gemini with a finger then buffing it out, just for that extra oomph. PLLLLLLZZZZZZ do looks using this and Pat’s glitters! I haven’t done one with Goalz and Blitz Emerald that I like yet, but I feel like they’re sisters and need to get along lmao 🤷🏾♂️💖

I have been saying I need to keep my priorities straight if I really want Bronze Seduction! Lmaoooo you’re seriously my soul sister. I wouldn’t have this palette if it wasn’t a gift tbh; it came out a couple days before my birthday, a Gemini for a Gemini. If you’re really conflicted about it, I think you’d be content with finding some Olive single shadows (if that’s what caught your eye, I’ve almost hit pan on half of Leo) like Makeup Geek’s Dirty Money I think it’s called, is allllmost an exact dupe for that shade.
Love this palette so much! Loving the greens, it performs so well too. I also have the dare to create palette and it doesn’t perform as well as these. And you’re right Michi is absolutely my favorite color I think in my entire collection. Love what you did with the lips! And those earrings are amazing by the way!

I always used like a yellow, preferably a dirty mustard yellow, to blend out olive shades before I got Gemini to really keep that olive look and not muddy it up with a brown lol

I may pull out the Kat Von D 10 yr anniversary palette (hey, I bought it before the kerfuffle & it was expensive so I aint decluttering it) and use the olive-y shade in there and the new Gold ND palette and see if I can do something similar, but with a shimmer. Inspiration!
I recently purchased the Morphe Boss Babe palette because of the green shades in there, and I wanted to do a comparison vid. The Morphe shades are definitely more moss green than olive. Still pretty, though!
I don't know if it is just me I always set the crease and upper crease as I want it to blend seamlessly. I do not set the lid as I like full impact colour there and nice deep depth (?) in the corner, tho I do that corner v, less and less preferring my upper crease colour to do a subtle wing (if I want a wing) and do a tiny flick joined to the under eye withliner or shadow. It appears brighter that way. Loved your work here and will be replicating it. x

My Gemini pan was a bit messed up when it arrived, but of all the colours, Gemini is the one I’m the least interested in and I think it’s very dupable anyway. I love the look you create here! I've been so excited for your take on this. This is just fantastic! There are at least two youtubers that I follow who said Gemini was the best palette they ever used. I mean it's not quite all that in my book, but I love the color story so much. There are three shades in here that are like nothing else in my collection. I so agree that the metallics are disappointing, esp. for this price point. Gemini (the shimmery peachy shade) is super weak. A good dupe for it that actually works on the eye is Amber Lights by MAC.Hooray for you for figuring out that it works as a face highlight. TBH I was drawn to combining the warm tones with the greens and that's probably why I wasn't satisfied with the results. The black is really, really aggressive. I've been unable to make it work without overs-smoking, but I will try again. I can't wait to try out this look for myself.
Yes, I agree that the metallics should have been a touch denser. And are these the best mattes in the entire universe? No. But the tones!? I just can’t get over! The metallics I. 27 were dismal. I was shocked. But I have to say, the mattes saved it for me.
Gemini is so unique, green (esp. Olive green) is so underutilized, it's great to have a palette that highlights those colors. I ordered it in the restock as well. I will say that the deeper your skin tone, the less colors show up with this palette, especially mochi and lorelei. Even fire OG doesnt show up as green as I would like. I definitely think it could be finessed with a good base, I might try to pick up the p. Louise one. I love the goalz color, I wish that Gemini had the same formula. It flakes off if you dont use it wet, which is unfortunate. I wish that color was a little bit more coral, I think that would have been stunning. Really loved your eye look!

I missed you, welcome back. Love the palette, love your look from it. I really like the duo chrome on the lips. Rather 90’s flashback in a good way. You crack me up, always mentioning your “dirty” brushes. FYI, Angelica Nyqvist (Mel suggested her channel some time ago) went to a Hokuhodo shop in Kyoto, Japan and they told her, only wash your brushes twice a year. That makes the brushes last longer. And Michelle Wang, when she reviewed this palette, called this palette’s color story, “schmutzy”. I think that’s what she said. She said that knitters call these types of colors that. I thought that was a funny word. Another FYI, Michelle is kinda famous in the knitting world. Anyway, beautiful palette. Thank you for the review! You know what’s so funny, that I peeped Michelle’s Instagram and saw that she is very much popular in the knitting world! And think it cool to find out that people have a life outside of RUclips 🙈 and even cooler when they have a neat job! I feel SO much better about my eye brush situation. And that’s great to know! Great look and tips on using the shades. I’m sold based on your tutorial but I hate the limited edition gimmick. I won’t be shopping until next year so I’ll just miss out. One day there will be more dark green olive palettes. These LE FOMO-inducing products will only inspire more brands to offer similar products for those of us who aren’t impulse shoppers/have to budget and save prior to purchasing. I wanted this so bad but then I saw the price and I was like "think clearly please". I missed you, welcome back. Love the palette, love your look from it. I really like the duo chrome on the lips. Rather 90’s flashback in a good way.
You crack me up, always mentioning your “dirty” brushes. FYI, Angelica Nyqvist (Mel suggested her channel some time ago) went to a Hokuhodo shop in Kyoto, Japan and they told her, only wash your brushes twice a year. That makes the brushes last longer.
And Michelle Wang, when she reviewed this palette, called this palette’s color story, “schmutzy”. I think that’s what she said. She said that knitters call these types of colors that. I thought that was a funny word. Another FYI, Michelle is kinda famous in the knitting world.

You know what’s so funny, that I peeped Michelle’s Instagram and saw that she is very much popular in the knitting world! And think it cool to find out that people have a life outside of RUclips 🙈 and even cooler when they have a neat job! I feel SO much better about my eye brush situation. And that’s great to know! I’m going to do further research myself!

Great look and tips on using the shades. I’m sold based on your tutorial but I hate the limited edition gimmick. I won’t be shopping until next year so I’ll just miss out. One day there will be more dark green olive palettes. These LE FOMO-inducing products will only inspire more brands to offer similar products for those of us who aren’t impulse shoppers/have to budget and save prior to purchasing. Love the video...The Gemini and Smoke Sessions palettes complement each other perfectly! It's worth it to me! Love how the sun shades and green earth tones mesh! Then that lipstick is a perfect finish!By the way, what lipstick is that?
