- Have you ever needed to edit a CMake buildscript, and been kind of stuck? Or, are you starting a new C++ (or C, or Fortran) project and want something a little more sophisticated than Makefiles? Then this CMake training course may be for you. This is the first of my 5 training videos which will attempt to cover many important concepts in CMake, and take you from a complete novice to an effective user of the tool. This video covers the function of build systems in general, and the basics of CMake project structure and syntax.
Materials used for the training course, and setup instructions, can be downloaded from here: github.com/mul... . You will need to set up your environment and clone this repository before starting the video.
Note: this video is recorded from a live lecture I gave over Zoom at USC Rocket Propulsion Lab.
Also, sorry about the black screen at the end. I'm still learning how to use Vegas...
Excellent training! Really appreciated the review at the beginning, a solid foundation is key
What a wonderfully great session, teaching and eating at the same time.
YOu sO SmARt "aND" CoOL BRo!.
Hi Jamie, could you please post the rest 3 videos of your course? The first 2 were really helpful!
please upload the third session
Is this all the five videos condensed into one? or just one video of the entire series. Cause I don't see three of them on the channel.
Great knowledge, explained well. The eating and burping is gross and disturbing, had to turn it off.
yeah. Liked the content. But that was just weird. I kept asking myself: why is he doing that?
I'm sorry if it was offputting. But this video was recorded from a talk I gave at USC Rocket Propulsion Lab, and on the day I recorded it I had a bunch of back to back classes all evening. If I didn't eat then, I wouldn't have been able to eat for hours.
15:40 LLVM developers: "is #include_next scary for you? Well, thats is what you get requiring backwards compatibility with glibc"
I am going to be the asshole that says it but you should not be eating while doing a presentation. Other than that, I think this is pretty good.
I appreciated the coziness that i felt there haha
