Great to see you again, Chris! You are always up to something interesting. I agree with you on the heater operation, the exhaust should not smell like unburned diesel and the heated air output should quite warm. You might try a test run with the combustion air intake filter removed to see if it is restricting the air flow. Happy Holidays to you and Mrs. NoIdea! Regards, David
Definitely looks like it's not burning with the correct ratio and hence the low temperature. I was under the impression these did have some adjustment, but if it's not covered in the manual then it's probably better to get a replacement unit. At least you had fun with the core drill.
All that work, so disappointing.......been there! However, I feel that exhaust should be a lot cleaner so wonder if it needs some tuning or such like and to get the heat output better.
@@IanScottJohnston I think is over fueling and acting more like a smoke generator. I think it’s getting too much fuel or the glow plug just isn’t getting the fuel quite hot enough. I am going to investigate but maybe should just send it back. I guess sending it back would be easier but I’d learn less. Hope all is well with you my best wishes to you and the family for Christmas
@@allthegearnoidea6752 There's a review of the 5kW version on YT and it displays the temperature on the LCD and the guy says the output is 'really hot'.....and runs cleaner. Deffo worth investigation.
Not that I should give anyone advice, I would have mounted the PSU on the outside of the Stand and not inside with the heat to keep the PSu as cool as possible?????????????
Nice to see you back and looking so well. Cheers, Steve.

I have on in my workshop that is supposed to be 8KW. When set to 1.4 Hz the heat output is I would say at lest 2KW. What fuel are you using?
@@SoddingaboutSi Diesel. Paraffin has a slightly higher calorific value though. I don’t think the fuel is igniting properly or is over fueling.
