The 'trading' game is much more of a part of RE2 than either RE1 or vanilla. Once you get a CV miner (RE2-Plutus-Refit recommended if your not flying an Aithas) then mining Neo asteroids is the most lucrative if you sell the ore to a Polaris Refinary .. approx 500K for 4000 (full load) ore. However to unlock some of the Polaris factories for certain goods (like superconductors) then you need to get into the trading game. Fit a GAT turret somewhere... they are far better for dealing with fast moving enemy ships/drones (and far less wasteful of ammunition).. Try turning the warp drive 90deg sideways and fit the turret in front of it. It's also where the Auger scores over the Scarab.. you can fit the warp drive internally.
