Tear on the outside uppers of the shoe after 1 playtest would be a decent QC downgrade for me, even if only cosmetic & no effect on structural integrity. For the MSRP the uppers should not be tearing like that at all imo. Same issue noted in the Women's playtest too. Otherwise looks like a really great shoe but I'll pass due to that apparent QC issue. Thanks for the thorough review & appreciate TW pointing out any issues noted (along with the positives) in the playtest. I generally like Diadora's recent stuff & would have been nice to see a GUGA commemorative shoe issued in 2022 around the time of the French Open being the 25th anniversary of his initial slam win @ Roland Garros in 97, but apparently not in the works.
I like the shoe so far, but one major drawback: the upper 3 hole's lacing overlaps about 3 times. And U have to lace and unlace them to get them on and off. With the 6 strings overlapped and mashed together, it is very hard to tighten them when lacing.

Hey Tennis Warehouse team I need your support. In ASICS Court FF2 I wear 46 EUR size, what size should I order these ones?
Looks similar and since I cannot find ASICS Court FF these days I find it as a good alternative.
$150 shoe shouldn't be tearing, period. Diadora has a nice shoe here that needs to go back to the drawing board it seems to me. Hard pass.
Lot of chatter on the message board about the uppers tearing. Any info on that?

If the diadora blushield is my current shoe pick because I have a wide foot with high arches…width wise how does this one compare?
This B.Icon is a bit more glove like, and most of our testers found it to be more of a true medium width, although it does open up a bit over time like most shoes. To be safe, we would recommend that you should likely stick with the Blushield. Troy, TW
Side note, I just tried on the new Blushield Torneo today, and the width felt pretty much medium. It will likely open up a bit with some break-in and wear, but the initial try-on they didn't feel all that roomy. Troy, TW
The toebox is similar. If anything the BIcon is just a bit narrower. Also, I purchased and had to send back for 1/2 size smaller than my normal size.
