The explanation about the Shimakaze is quite simple. If you check his flags when the Yamato zoomed in, you can see a pirate flag among them. What happened, is that the Shimakaze anchored off the shore of the island, the pirate crew went ashore to follow their map and find the treasure, and left the ship unattended. And the the Yamato happened. *Captain Obvious away*

THIS is how battleships should be played! No one remembers the coward in the rear, but the hero in the front will be remembered forever more! Qapla'! jagh HI'u! taHjaj boq

some grade A teamwork you pulled off there, congrats. You guys use Teamspeak or something? Didn't see any chat messages... or just that good that you can read each others' minds :P

Charles Courtwright I suppose my intent wasnt as clear as I thought. It was sarcasm, mate. I'm well aware of the reasons behind the shift in naval tactics :P.
at 8:54 the music is from Uchuu Senkan Yamato but the picture a few seconds later is Yamato from Kantai Collection ( I recommend watching both anime's 1. Space Battleship Yamato 2199 2. Kantai Collection)
I just realized this is a video about ships getting a paddlin...not a video about a ship called a Paladin...guess its time to get a new pair of glasses.
Jingles, consider this: World of Everything. World of Tanks, World of Warplanes, and World of Warships combined into a massive WarThunder, campaign style worldwide battle taking place in several locations. It would have a free flight feel to it. As you'd have to sail from one country to another and capture bases or naval stations or airfields depending on which vehicle tree you'd prefer.
Two Brothers is a very fitting map for a fight featuring two Bismarcks in a division. Bismarck and Tirpitz, brother who never got to fight together in real life, reunited via video game. Glorious.
That Shimokaze must have disconnected/crashed. That's what happens. Usually it happens at the start so ships just sit there and never move but if you crash mid game that's the result.
If only it were that easy. My PC comfortably exceeds the hardware requirements and I have a stable highspeed interent connection ... yet the game will sometimes randomly freeze up ingame, forcing me to kill the game via Taskmanager and then log back in ... which takes a bit more than a minute. And that's not even counting the countless random CTDs I get in port when I try to switch captains or whatnot. I won't go into detail about what I've tried to troubleshoot, what I tested to check if it's possible hardware issues or whatnot. Suffice it to say that after all the angles I checked to make sure it wasn't my PC or internet acting fuzzy, I'm certain that the problem is not originating from my end and it's simply the game client not working stable with my hardware configuration (which it shouldn't since it exceeds the recommended hardware specifications). This game isn't well optimized (or perhaps it's just the rather dated game engine that doesn't hold up). I'd suspect WG gave it a lot more effort optimizing the game for low-end machines (which makes sense considering the russian market is flooded with old PCs) and neglected properly ironing out optimization issues for high-spec PCs.
Hey Jingles, American viewer here. I think you should look into getting a copy of an old Ubisoft game called "Blazing Angels." It's a really fun and kind of difficult WW2 flight combat game. The story isn't the best but the characters are lovable and I constantly replayed missions to stop them from dying. The mission objectives were historical targets and there are a ton of planes to pick from. It released in 2006 but its still got decent graphics and a fun, arcadish feel. Imagine if you were playing a mission in War Thunder but with the feel of WoWP and you have a nice little game. If you can't get ahold of it you should try the sequel. It's less realistic but lets you control a bunch of secret airplanes and jets. There's even a mission where you get to shoot down a giant armored zeppelin that launches fighters and is protected by turrets! They are some of the best games I've ever played and I grew up playing them a lot. I would recommend trying to find a console version as the graphics are better and the controls are easier. Please try this out! If you do, sneak a little shoutout to me in so I can brag to my friends about being on RUclips! Thanks Jingles!!! -Brody Macenka WoT, WoWS, and WoWP account: Hawk_HeartWarrior
fun fact that i just noticed. The Shimakaze wasn't AFK. The guy was at his keyboard. Look closely at the Torpedo launchers at 12:24 and you can see that they move to the starboard side of the shimakaze.
After an utterly crap day, that video just cheered me right up. Jingles you are my hero. even if you never read this comment, hands down YOU ARE MY HERO TODAY. Thank you for doing what you do.
I've had that last one happen to me before. In my Emile Bertine knife fighting an Omaha. Enemy Fuso fires a broadside, misses me entirely but sinks one right into the citadel of the Omaha for 10k damage. That Fuso saved my life
The only thing I have found about this, is that flooding reduces your max speed by 15-20%. There seems to be no effect on the damage and it is always 0.667% of max health per second.
Oh dear lord, I've only watched until 1:33 and already I could facepalm at that Iowa. You go big boy, smack all those AP volleys at the Atago belt armour at autobounce angles where you do next to no damage at all, instead of just shooting the rear of the ship where you can overmatch the hull and get citadels straight through the Atago's arse. Oh boy. Ohhhh boy!
Jingles, in the second battle of the video, the Yamato was actually angling against some enemies coming the "normal" way around the island, so he was kinda caught between hammer and the anvil...
What happens when you have two large battleships in an extremely tight space, entirely unprotected? You get lit up by two large battleships, in one hell of a paddlin.
What I want to know is why the Yamato's secondary batteries are not opening up on the anchored/grounded Shimakaze? Was it that he has the Manual Control for Secondaries Captain's Skill, and forgot to select the destroyer as the target? I'd have expected the Yamato's secondaries to wipe that Shimakaze out in seconds after the main strike.
Jingles....I think you need a new video series simply titled "That's a Paddlin!". Your comentary on the never ending supply of idiots (at every tier mind you) so makes my day. Thank you!
Jesus Christ that first Shimakaze.... I felt like I was watching someone that had just gotten their first destroyer and not having a clue how to use it.
You see comrade, if you are of the waitings for firing, enemy ship will be of the surprised when you have sink them! Oh wait, your non-soviet ship is not of the stronk...
Jingles, I think your fear is coming true. Five ships (1 DD, 2 CA, Bismarck and Tirpitz) just went down the middle, one by one... straight into our cruiser and my division mate and me in two Tirpitzs. All five dead with almost no damage done.
got to laugh, in world of warships going broadside on in a battleship is a Paddlin, one wonders why the captain of HMS Hood was even trying to turn at the battle of the Denmark straits.

You mean and then the friendly Bismark happened... ;)
................I totally did that to maintain the jingles tradition...yes... it was purely intentional
Even more jingles-ing - Friendly Tirpitz, not a friendly Bismarck happened.
A Jinglesing correcting a Jinglesing inside a Jingles video's comment section? We have reached Jingles-Singularity!
*A room full of scientists explode in applause*
Literally exploded. Pieces of scientists were found blocks away from the discovery/horrow show.
Disclaimer: A six gun salvo from a Yamato at 100 yards would send any destroyer to the coral in real life.
that first replay triggered me so hard
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Cpt Placeholder Full of clan members playing like utter noobs.
You and me both, I am going to find that Shimakaze and I'm gonna skin him alive, just for the pain watching that caused me!
i only felt the deadness of familiarity. goddamn fucking potatoes just cant help themselves. see a target no matter the context, *TORPS* *AWAY*
@@oldfrend Can confirm although i don't play a lot of pvp ive both spammed out torps and been hit by friendly torps.

But going broadside on is the key to being a true gentlemen in naval warfare cant be having an unfair fight now can we.
Its called playing smarter, not dumber.
Everyone knows that the most honourable naval combat method is that of the line of battle.
Preferably with the enemy line of battle steaming at right angles to yours.

oh that shimakaze kill is SO beautiful , i can watch that again and again
The number one rule of the Jingles, if you sail broadside on to a ship, especially a battleship, THATS ONE HELL OF A PADDLIN!
Mammoth Mk3 we will see what good that does after a slapping from a Yamato
best accidental team kill ever... of all time. lol
LOL yeah. Reminds me of when I saw a BB being targeted from long range, and instead, the enemy's shot missed the BB and hit and sank an unspotted DD.
8:50 the Yamato!
The player is Pellaeon, as in Thrawns old Captain.
Funnily enough I came here from a game in which I witnessed a Khaba and a Conqueror get sunk so the Stars must still be aligned correctly.
I've officially been up too long since there is a new Jingles episode up.
I just realized this is a video about ships getting a paddlin...not a video about a ship called a Paladin...guess its time to get a new pair of glasses.
yay, two Yamato's featured in one video! Good job!
Wow, not only friendly fire via guns in WoWS but an actual Blue on Blue kill with guns. On an AFK DD no less. With a GOD DAMN YAMATO in the way.
RNGesus says "Yes"
all hail the mighty RNGessus

Thanks for the laugh! The Derpitz at the end got me cracking XD
Wow, never thought I'd see fellow clan mates in a Jingles video. With a crazy move they did put those Bismarcks to very good use. Go S-B-C!!
9:03 I saw that KanColle Yamato
Yamato is best girl... Ship... Shipgirl.

Poi? Poi~!
That Shimokaze must have disconnected/crashed. That's what happens. Usually it happens at the start so ships just sit there and never move but if you crash mid game that's the result.
Playing team games with a shit machine/internet so you are likely to crash mid game is just rude to your team mates.
actually.. if the game crashes or disconnects. the ship stops aka no smoke from the funnels.. so he was probably afk
Yep, he was probably gone off his keyboard for a long time...
If only it were that easy. My PC comfortably exceeds the hardware requirements and I have a stable highspeed interent connection ... yet the game will sometimes randomly freeze up ingame, forcing me to kill the game via Taskmanager and then log back in ... which takes a bit more than a minute.

Pringles with Jingles
After an utterly crap day, that video just cheered me right up. Jingles you are my hero. even if you never read this comment, hands down YOU ARE MY HERO TODAY. Thank you for doing what you do.
The Yamato theme started in my head about half a second before it did in the video.
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING MY REPLAY JINGLES!!! THANK YOU! Also, the Bismark game was a Victory, sorry for not including the end screens.
I come back to this video every few months to watch that Bismarck sequence... And to hear tha Yamato part
I've had that last one happen to me before. In my Emile Bertine knife fighting an Omaha. Enemy Fuso fires a broadside, misses me entirely but sinks one right into the citadel of the Omaha for 10k damage. That Fuso saved my life
One of my favourite games in WOWS was convincing my whole team to yolo down the middle of the two brothers map. We lost but god it was fun.
Good choice in using the Space Battleship Yamato theme song in the video haha
And this is why I subscribed to you, Jingles!
Tirpitz probably thought it didn't matter if he was broadside or not because it was a YAMATO...that or he wanted to die for that tk.
Jingles, you forgot to mention that Montana could've survived if he just stopped since flooding damage is lower when stationary.
Is it now? That I did not know. I shall try it out the next time I am torpedoed nonfatally.
I remember reading this somewhere too, and I always consider it when flooding - but I can't reliably prove it right or wrong.
Well, test it out
The only thing I have found about this, is that flooding reduces your max speed by 15-20%. There seems to be no effect on the damage and it is always 0.667% of max health per second.
For some reason i chuckled when the video started with a ship going belly up.
last clip was glorious even though it probably ended in defeat but with that i can sleep peacefully tonight.
8:56 - Ah man, everyone's just doing crossovers between World of Warships and Kantai Collection now. We're all just accepting it.
Oh boy.
Ohhhh boy!
Does anyone now where the music for the intro of this video is?
Sounds a helluva lot like Brothers in Arms from the Halo soundtrack
close but no cigar...
Something something darude-sandstorm,something something
Thank you for making my morning. Keep on paddling Jingles!
It's not too often a warships video has me cracking up laughing, but this one did.
Hahaha... Good Ol' Jingles... Always brings a smile to my day 😀
I sat my drink out at 12:37 "that was unfortunate." Yeah it was my phone's full of Pepsi lol
Great video. One of your best in ages.
Waking up to a Jingles video what a way to wake up
This was a great video to start my birthday off!
Jingles, in the second battle of the video, the Yamato was actually angling against some enemies coming the "normal" way around the island, so he was kinda caught between hammer and the anvil...
11:10 that double (maybe triple?) Take though.
that broadside montana also had survivability expert perk .. so useful on TX BB
that moment when the tirpitz team kills the shimakaze is worthy of a monty python sound effect. Jingles, missed opportunity!
9:03 - Jingles cements his place as Best Waifu.
all_day_2_night., here's to the BARON, clan. love your work jingles.
"Rushing mid ends in disaster 9 times out of 10" - Right, so what you're saying.. Is that there's a chance? Right, gotcha!
ps. Yammy's can't OM german BB bows. Well, 9 times out of 10 anyway. They've got additional armor plating!
Jingles has replaced my morning paper over the years.
Need help! My screen have blue and red and I can't see any image properly I only started so is this part of the game
@11:49 why did his secondaries not open up? Did he have manual secondaries and just forgot?
Morning tea and krimpets with jingles.
Interesting combat sequences.. Jingles, you could post a video of a guy mowing a lawn and make it entertaining. Thank you for the laughs, sir.
What happens when you have two large battleships in an extremely tight space, entirely unprotected? You get lit up by two large battleships, in one hell of a paddlin.
Before i watched this video,I get an world of warships ad first
What I want to know is why the Yamato's secondary batteries are not opening up on the anchored/grounded Shimakaze? I'd have expected the Yamato's secondaries to wipe that Shimakaze out in seconds after the main strike.
9:02 this has become a theme
Clip 1: That moment when you win if your allies disconnect, but alas, they don't, so you lose.
Jingles....I think you need a new video series simply titled "That's a Paddlin!". Your comentary on the never ending supply of idiots (at every tier mind you) so makes my day. Thank you!
My god that guy in the TIRPIZTS at the end lmao
It over for the Yamato, looks like the glorious nippon steel Bow folded 1000× was in the hands of an unskilled and the Gaijin gets to stay.
all kinds of fires set
Me- *looks at the fires number* 1 fire..........................
Yaaaa Maaaa Tooooo! Love that bit in every vid I see it in. Literally makes me laugh aloud every time.
8:55 That theme tho
thank jingles you just inspired me to sail straight through the island in a Bismarck XDDDD
I'm surprised that Khab didn't bounce those AP shells from the Yammy because that's all that I get in my Yammy firing on a Khab
Jingles, I think your fear is coming true. Five ships (1 DD, 2 CA, Bismarck and Tirpitz) just went down the middle, one by one... straight into our cruiser and my division mate and me in two Tirpitzs. All five dead with almost no damage done.
The Second he said "Montana and Shimakaze" i knew what was coming
Why is the Yamato's 2ndary guns didn't open up on the AFK Shimakaze?
The money shot of today's video is brought to us by the killing shot of the enemy Tirpitz to the enemy shimakaze....
Dammit jingles. It's 3:49 am
I am a simple man. I hear Yamato theme song, I upvote.
AND ONCE AGAIN OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JINGLES HAS BLESSED US WITH MORE ENTERTAINMENT!
PREACH FOR OUR SALT MINE MASTER JINGLES!
Love the Space Cruiser Yamato thiem!
the first one firing torpedoes, he'd be an arty player in wot
got to laugh, in world of warships going broadside on in a battleship is a Paddlin, one wonders why the captain of HMS Hood was even trying to turn at the battle of the Denmark straits.
I watched too much Spoony... I honestly thought the title on the thumbnail was "What's a Paladin?" then I read the title under the video really quickly and thought "That's a Paladin!" >.>;; well, good video anyways!
WOW just WOW.......that first clip......
Jingles I got a Tog!!!!!!
wooo hooo!! we should toon sometime 2x tog, maybe get a third??
Just remember. You will almost always be late to the party and your health is your armor. Keep the gun firing, and try and stay moving. If all else fails, be the huge distraction your team needs. Nobody ignores a TOG.
Dear Master of the salty Salt Mines, i`ve got to ask if Cold Waters does take around 30min to start up as well? i dont know what it is when it eventually will start up always i try to make any action in menu or anywhere it freezes for like 2min and then you can make the next action. Any solution?
Looks like the Shimakaze either lost his connection or got called away. Happened to me last week in a Lion. I must have received a lot of shit from my team. Unfortunately, I couldn't reconnect.
Actually Jingles, the german bbs have 60mm lower bow plating which cant be overmatched by the weeBB. Huh? No wait Jingles put that gun down
Sailing broadside arm to a battleship is a paddling
Nice video, Jingles :)
Shodnt damage from flooding have gone to the destroyer and not onto both of them?
Scrubs R/C only after a certain threshold.
98765zach so he should have stopped taking damage then. As you would when taking shell fire or initial torpedo hits
I see you Locke :P (it's Almighty btw)
I saw what you did there Jingles. I like it.
American tier 10 tank destroyer which 1 should I get or can you do a update review on them? Thanks for your time
World of tanks
Before i even start watching this, i'm seeing people giving battleships their sides flat on.
Have yet to watch the video but know I'll love it!
I misread the title and thought this was a World of Tanks video about the M109, titled "That's a Paladin."
Jingles
There is probably no breaking the habit of an old sailor at this point, but....
It is A-ta-go
Not At-a-go
Confirmed by my Japanese coworkers.
ara ara XD
Good to see your vids are not being demonetised these days. You must enjoy being less controversial . :)
"its only one torpedo" *pauses video* *inhales* nah he gon be dead
no... it was worse, they both die...
