Whenever I experiment on classic menswear, smart casual wear and formal wear, I would turn to your videos for some ideas and tips. I have just finished this video, and learned quite a lot about layering. Glad to learn some tips on layering, which can be useful for me in the near future.
Thanks to videos like yours, I get compliments almost every day at my high school. Who knew something like a cardigan and some chukkas could get so much attention?
There are some summers suits with an open weave and light fabric. As the weather get's hotter trough the summer I usually start wearing lighter suits, then leave out the neck wear and if the heat get's unbearable I take off my jacket and cuff my shirt (If you are in an office this shouldn't be necessary since there will usually be air conditioning). If you can go casual, go for a poloshirt, with some light trousers and loafers.
Wilfred Games Friend, linen is your friend! Suit up only when you must and when there's air-condition. Otherwise: Linen trousers + cotton polo/linen shirt + loafers/moccasins. Wear a braided canvas belt (sweat transfers the leather dye onto your clothes). Good luck and have a nice day!
I believe Sven has done a couple of videos on dressing for hot weather. But, basically, you'll want to stick to thin cotton and linen as much as possible and avoid synethetic fabrics that don't breathe as well. For instance, I have a deconstructed 100% cotton blazer that I'm able to wear in 80+ degree weather and, although I still sweat, I never feel extremely uncomfortable or that my jacket is soaking wet. You could also go with a seersucker suit and a panama hat if you want the whole ensemble!
great video. It would be great to see a video about how you source your vintage clothes, where and what to look for and the process of adjustment, and consequent marrying up to accessories to get the final look.
I watch this video every time I feel a bit adventurous and have always come out with a better outfit! Huge fan of the channel and loving the results of following your advice 💯
And again I say thanks for helping me to see how to meet the challenge of not only layering my wardrobe but how with ease I can also mix different patterns and fabric textures successfully excellent video!
Raphael , as usual your suggestions are fantastic! Nice to see I am not the only one who enjoys layering clothing. You mentioned T-shirts for layering, may I make a suggestion, to try to get the T-shirts as close to skin color as possible so they almost disappear underneath your dress shirts. Try dying your T-shirts (old fashion way of doing this is with tea, simply soak the cotton T-shirts in a bowl of tea and let it absorb the color, the sooner you remove from tea the lighter in color), I prefer this color to light grey. As always, enjoy your videos. Louis USN(Ret).
first of all thank you for your videos. Thank you very much for adding the description and subtitles. it's easier to understand everything, for those of us who do not use English habitually. Antes de nada gracias por tus videos. muchas gracias por añadir la descripción y los subtítulos. así es más fácil enteder todo, para los que no usamos el inglés habitualmente.
I think you are 100% in style and you look elegant as f*** and as direct as a german i am: you would open the gate to ultimate handsomness if you would start to work out and/or fix your back and neck posture. You could become Nr. 1 sharpest Gent of Todo Mundo!
1 Thing, i have bright yellow pants that i got as a gift (chinos). Is it fine to combine this with a lighter blue blazer? If so, what dress shirt wouldwork well with such a combination?
cái hay của phúc đó giọng hất rất tình cảm , mỗi bài hát là bạn ấy thả hết tâm hồn và tình cảm vậy , và thể hết giống như mình đã từng trải nghiệm , i love you
I'd short sleeve shirts if you're more informal, or long sleeve with sleeves rolled up a bit and skip the suits if it's really bad, and maybe even khaki colored shorts if it's too hot or an airy pair of pants
man that double-breasted long coat (if thats what its called) that you have is alpha as Fuck! I would love to have that. I live in the southern part of Sweden, do you recommend any ways to find vintage stuff like this? just the usual like markets and second hand stores?
Friend, I do agree on many of your aspects. Removing your hat indoors, covering your mouth as on eats, but you seem to negate the fact that, for better or worse, society is evoling. This is up to your opinion, hence I take no point in the battle. However, we have evolved. You may say that mem woth imrily beards, and this is spoken from a clean shaven gentleman, are tripe. I can not disagree with that. However, regardless of hats, men should always remove them upon entering a building. I am referring to things I learned from someone well twice your age whom lived in 30/40s. Hats are not an indoor garment. I don't care of they are mpw. bit they're mpt desogmed as sicj/ Furthermore, and this is particularly flammatory, the 20s were a horrible time. I understand that men were well dressed, but within the states, it was a misery for any non-white male. I'm not judging you, but I am judging your lack of evolution towards style. Yes, style has had a devolution over the past decade and a half, bit it was in response to the controlling class. What you seek to accomplish isa stagnation within style, and not runway style. It's unpleasant insofar as we will all be wearing trash by the time of the fifth element.
I think your presentation style is very good, but some of your outfits (most infant) are truely shocking, there is no way you could wear those out?!!? And high waisted pleated trousers should never be worn again.
Dude your personal style is destroying your words. You need to keep the naration but have someone else provide the video. Way too much you. I hate to say it more Bond

I was going to wait for Fall to buy a tweed jacket, that tweed jacket is fire!
Effortless sophistication. As always, great outfits! Thank you for the useful tips.
This is as far from effortless as can be
Can we get a video on how to dress in extremely hot summers. Where I live Temperatures can get up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Suits seem impractical for it but I don't wnat to walk around in tank tops and sandals.

The things is that everything Raphael wears looks good on him. 🥂
Hes got it down.
This is why I like the autumn
I love Raphaels style. His color game is on point.
You should make a serie about colours and what complemints them. Weather, seasons and what they symbolize.
Elegant as always.
merci
This is in my list of top 3 favorite videos of Gentleman's Gazette . Excellent content :)

Wow! Your clothes are incredibly beautiful!
great video Sven!
Thank you for this interesting and rich video. Greetings from Oslo.
Love it! Excited about fall to finally start breaking out layers. How big is your closet, to hold all of your sartorial splendor?
Could you do a video on how to wear velvet?
Such an informative video, according to the usual. Keep up the excellent work!
One question for Raphael: I know that the last button for the single-brested vest or suit must be closed but why?
First of all I have been waiting for this video, this is awesome. These videos are always very helpful.
Love the outfit at 3:55
I do like that olive green!
Nice video as usual! Just a bit too late. Any tips on summer layering in warm climate?
What's the best color tweed vest to go with a medium-grey, slightly textured suit and maroon tie? I'm thinking a lichen shade.
Hi, I love your burgandy vest. where did you bought it?
Interested in your vests, are they custom?
1 Thing, i have bright yellow pants that i got as a gift (chinos). Is it fine to combine this with a lighter blue blazer? If so, what dress shirt wouldwork well with such a combination?

I’ve found it difficult to put together a complementary outfit based on a checked navy or blue jacket. Any advice?
is it ok to wear a paisley cravat/ ascot and a houndstooth jacket together

How many clothes do you own!!!?
This guy is the type of guy that wears a pocket square with his underwear

Off topic, is there a female version of you? My girlfriend is becoming more interested in classic styling.
THANKS.

A couple of times in this video you show two different tweeds together. I was always led to believe that you shouldn't mix tweeds.

At 3:58....fashion faux pas....how could you?😉
❤️❤️🙏🙏👏👏
no way, I live in a tropical country. is impossible to be classic and add layers of clothes :/
try linen fabrics, friend :)
Sotires Nestorides but the problem with linen is that it wrinkles very easily.
You have to see the wrinkles as a feature, adding character to the garment, instead of a bug.
I'd short sleeve shirts if you're more informal, or long sleeve with sleeves rolled up a bit and skip the suits if it's really bad, and maybe even khaki colored shorts if it's too hot or an airy pair of pants
I live in Indonesia, a tropical country and i usually layer my clothes when its the cold time of the year.

Me: NEGITIVE THIRTY NI- oh wait, yankee
-40 that is crazy. You can't even go outside if that is the case.

high waisted pleated pants are great to wear, have room for bigger thighs and you can't really see them if you wear a vest
Dude your personal style is destroying your words. You need to keep the naration but have someone else provide the video. Way too much you. I hate to say it more Bond
Above all things, the narrator has no clue has to layer clothing at all. The color matching is atrocious.
Hmmm, where's your channel then?
You dress like my grandma
patrick harper Then your grandma has some dang fine suits :)
Your grandma is cool, based and redpilled 🐂
