The promotion was better before because the kpop market only revolved around the big 3, and only their artists succeeds. We may think its less promotion and exposure but in fact, even old SM artists say treatment is better for their new artists. Right now, I don't know with aespa, its still being secretive but nct has their various yt channels with more content that people enjoy much more than scripted variety shows. They have down time to take care of their health and sanity. With RedVel, I think they're also careful because of the Irene issue that people still care about. LSM selling his shares is his idea of saying, I'm done now. Like dude, he had been with SM for quite a long time and he even managed personally, the business connections on the states. They are now focusing on setting the groundwork for expansion.
