And just outside city limits you have the million dollar homes of Greenville, Westover Hills, and Chestnut Run.
Thank you for the comment. I hope that the city is still doing well due to the Covid and protests. I hope to visit Wilmington by the end of the year. Maybe I will do another Wilmington video.
@Fred Maples: Thank you for making and sharing this video. It looks like an interesting state. It kind of reminds me of Toronto, Canada. I have a couple of questions. 1) About how long did you stay in Delaware? 2) What were the people like? 3) What can you do for fun that is free and cheap? 4) How are the roads (condition and traffic wise) ?
I stayed 3 weeks. The people were for the most part friendly. There are some rougher parts of Wilmington but not large areas. I spent a lot of time in Philadelphia and that wasn’t free and cheap. The roads in Wilmington are in decent condition. A lot of traffic towards Philadelphia. Philadelphia the traffic is bad but a lot of people. Wilmington overall is a very easy city to get around. The whole state of Delaware isn’t too populated.
@@FredMaples Oh ok, thank you for sharing that information. Is there a town in Delaware called Philadelphia? I only know of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.
Compelled to comment on this post, because there is a lot of mis-information in the comment section and in this video. I have lived in Wilmington for the past 6 years and in Delaware for the past 11 years and previous to that South Jersey 10 minutes from Philadelphia. Within the last year Wilmington has dumped millions of dollars into renovations to the downtown area and the riverfront which is where this person is filming (Rodney Square/Market St). There are probably over 30 restaurants and bars, plenty of gyms, art galleries and trails all within 5 miles. That's just downtown and riverfront, there is another area 3 miles from here Trolly which is just as nice with more amenities followed by multi-million dollar homes. Ever here of Joe Biden, his home is in that area. A lot of mis-information out there with Wilmington being so bad for drugs and crime. Is it? Yes, BUT no more than Philadelphia or especially New York. Its a very very small city but has the same issues all cities have. If you've never lived in a city you will be need to adjust, but if you have then you will find it quite pleasant.

I’m from Delaware and there are certainly nice areas of Wilmington that you can spend the day or evening in with restaurants, activities, shopping, etc. You must be talking about the bad parts which aren’t geared towards that. However, every city is like that.

Should try coming back at night time the place is a toilet and the drugs are outta control and prostitution is un real check out north Market Street at night the east side as well go to the neighborhood not the business district
