    Tomorrow I need to spray for squash bugs. I also do monthly systemic in watering. I culled plants down today to my three keeper plants and their pumpkins

    Engel will give you great orange pumpkin. He's a couple hours north of me.

      yes I REALLY wanted a nice orange one, so sir Engel was a clear front runner in the seed selection

    I fight powdery mildew starting mid to late July. I'm also on ABQ. Good luck

      @jasonchurch8571 thank you. I have given a preventative spray or two of sulfer based fungicide as well

      @@albuquerquegardening i had a 290 pounder last year. I lost my first plant early July so I think I recovered well. I am only 9 days in with the current pumpkin and it seems like it's growing well.

    How do you deal with vine borers?

    • @albuquerquegardening
      @albuquerquegardening  Месяц назад +1

      @MisterEcks I don't really see them down here. I know there Is a species of vine borer native to the southwest, I've just not seen one in the 4 years I've tried growing pumpkins. I do use bonide systemic granules which are imidacloprid based
