  • His ballstriking is just effortless and repeatable... but his putting is on another level. He has a lot of wins in his future.

    Great swing and ball goes straight. Probably one of the most consistent and more importantly repeatable golf swing I've seen. Somehow he gets so much power also. No unnecessary manipulations from address to follow through.

    Nope. It’s a very good golf swing, but by no means perfect. If want to go truly watch the closest thing to “perfect”, go watch Tiger Woods 2000 for 10 minutes and 58 seconds. Then you’re watching GREATNESS

    • @bt2476
      @bt2476 8 месяцев назад

      @@ildblm1507 respectfully disagree! Rory McIlroy's swing may look more appealing and powerful to the eye compared to current Tiger, but by no means has he been even close to producing the ball striking and overall results that Tiger Woods did in his prime. I think that says all one needs to know about great swing. Of course he's not going to tell him on air to emulate his swing lol. That would look bad.
      He was playing nice on air and giving kudos to Rory. Tiger knows darn well that Rory's swing and results don't hold a candle to his from 1999-2002. Tiger won 4 majors in a row from 2000-2001. Rory has 4 majors in his career, and hasn't won one in 10 years. Rory is overrated and has a LONG way to go before he is considered amongst the all time greats.

      @dsc-nr5zy 6 месяцев назад +1

      The swing is just a way to look pleasant to the eye while shooting good scores. Plenty of ugly swings have won consistently, even at the highest level. It's better to learn how to control the ball instead of trying to control your body making quirky moves. It's all hand eye coordination, anyway.

      Get out of here. Tigers swing doesn’t even make the top 10. His dominance was due to his putter. Best putter ever. Not even close to one of the best ball strikers

    • @bt2476
      @bt2476 4 месяца назад

      @@jimlahey3919 That's an absolutely bizarre statement you're making to be honest. Are you even a golf fan? Did you watch Tiger in 2000, and see how utterly dominant he was?
      You're WAY WAY way off base and not even close in what you say. Tiger circa 2000 is one of THE BEST swings of all time, if not the very best - and is a measuring stick for nearly all golfers. Yes, his putting was also magic at the time, at which he was one of the most clutch ever, but his ball striking was a sight to behold. His entire game was awe-inspiring, and I wasn't even a fan of his either. I don't believe anyone has ever seen that level of play before in a few short years. And make no doubt about it, his swing got him there.
      Jim, I don't believe you've ever even watched golf before. You're the first person to ever say that his 2000 swing isn't top 10. lol
