Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 / Microsoft 365 from Microsoft Azure

In this video I am walking through the deployment of Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 / Microsoft 365 available in the Microsoft Azure marketplace. Super simple stuff... this is the first time I have deployed this from the marketplace so we learnt together.

Hi Mate. Great video. I have question: how data flow is looking like between Veeam server and 0365? Is it using public IP to download data? Is there any way to communicate veeam server with o365 servers directly when deploying it in azure?

Hey Robert thanks for watching and the comment. The data flow for Office 365 and our backup is going to be pulling through public facing APIs and public IPs, this is no different within Azure unless Azure route traffic differently. You do not pay for egress or ingress for Office365. I wonder if you pay egress from Azure to Office 365 on restores or if that is considered east to west traffic. Microsoft would know this.
