"You don't kiss your buddy's stuff"! - LOL What an unbelievable day! Thank you for the information about phenomenal silver cob! Looking forward to see what you find on the next video!
I'm not trying to make Jason's head any bigger... 😆 😆 😆. But he deserves to be on a high horse after this week's finds. Way to go brother. Congratulations 🎉🎉. & Doug, your Liberty Cap at the end was a beautiful thing to see as well. 🎉🎉🎉
Jason and Doug, What a day! What amazing finds! You've got to get back there, it seems untouched ! Arggghhhhh mateys , pieces of Silver!!! SQuawk:) Cheers, Rik
Thanks for the plug Jason! 👊 Great finds and enjoyable as always! That matron is amazing, awesome etched tombac and other buttons. A cob though!! Amazing 😍 what an incredible find! Nice liberty cap Doug and that 2 cent coin is awesome! Wicked happy hunting!
I once found a cache of those Spanish cobs, but mine were all gold and said “COPY” on each coin 🤣….obviously a kid’s buried treasure….that’s an awesome coin you found!! Congrats! 👍🏼
I pulled the trigger on the Legend, about 3 weeks ago, because of you and Merrill. I couldn’t be happier with the machine. I finally upgraded from the AT-Pro. The transition has been smooth for me. I can only detect about 4-6 hours per week because of family and work commitments. The Legend is perfect for me. Great coin!! “It was so shallow, I could’ve found it with a stud finder” 😂😂
Out of the thousand or so videos I’ve watched over the years I’ve never seen a Spanish cob pulled out of the ground that clean. Jason that has to be one ever so awesome of a find there can be. I’m sure that will be center stage in your display case. Congratulations…
What a dream find!! You the MAN!!! Unbelievable coin of a lifetime. I will keep looking, but you will have a tough time finding a better treasure. ( two capped liberty's that otherwise would have been the stars of the episode 😅)
Wow Jason and Doug. What an excellent Hunt. Congrats Doug on the Coppers and the 2 Cent Piece. Still trying to get the 2 Cent Piece off my Bucket List. Jason Big Congrats on the Hammered 1600s Silver. So awesome. And Congrats on the Coppers also. Love the Buttons and the War Nickle and Rosie. I enjoy the Coins and Relics you Doug and the rest of the crew dig up. There's alot of Coins and Relics I won't find here in Nevada. Take Care all of you.
Hi Doug. I've been fortunate to have foundc2 CC Seated Coins. I believe it's a rare 1872 CC Seat Quarter and last year I found a beautiful 1890 CC Silver Dollar. My two favorite Coins. I also went to Carson City High School but I found the 2 Coins on the other side of the State. Take Care Doug
I don't usually comment but I've watched tons of your videos this was probably the most exciting find behind the screen I've seen in a while vary vary cool.. sweet find
What an awesome permission. Congrats to both you Jason and Doug. Can't wait until next Tuesday. That Cobb was amazing. Keep up the beep, good luck and happy hunting
Wow congrats Jason..I never saw such a coin..spectacular..and a congrats to Doug as well for his finds and hanging out with you..the others missed out on some awesome treasures..well done you two
20:42 - the rim decorations on the large cent are known as denticles (not reeding - that is on the edges of the coin and traditionally just on silver or gold issues, not copper). The 1666 coin was a treat to see. Thanks for sharing. BTW - when Doug walks with his shovel and detector like he does, looks like the poor guy is on crutches. 😉
@@dogtagdoug6751 and to do that into your early 70s is pretty good as well, Doug. My late father-in-law (passed in 2019 at age 78 from the last of three strokes) had actual crutches of that same length - some call them "Canadian crutches" - that he used to get around in his last days. Take care.
Spectacular find, So nice of you to try and get Doug in the area. Shows true friendship. You guys make my week. Hopefully, God willing, Doug finds the hammered silver next time. Here in Northern California, I'm lucky to find a hammered nail.
You guys were on fire today. I’m going to give you a nickname that we used as kids and is fitting for you today, Cobb-a-hawk. It was so long ago when we used it that I forgot the meaning but it fits. It was great meeting you guys at Digstock
That cobb is awesome! What a hunt. I did land a bucket lister last week, an early type 2 Standing Liberty Quarter in a heavily hunted park. S mint mark but no date.
Cool old goodies you found. Had to look up the cob to find out a bit more. What an awesome dig opportunity. I found a 1944S war nickel (here in the SF bay area) on Sunday 3/26 in front of an elementary school. Don't find much older than that around here. Cheers.
Every time it is a piece of history, but that coin is incredible! Thank you for the explaining and research on it! Imagine being the one that guanteed the purity of a coin. And being able to sign it! Whoever signed it, must have rolled in his grave when you unearthed it! Nice finds guys!
Thanks so much for the interpretation of the symbols on the Cobb. Terrific. Actually my favorite coin you found was the beautiful 1828 matron. So rare to find a farm field copper in that condition. I love the old US coinage. My favorite coin is the draped bust large cent.
Congratulations Doug on the 2 cent piece, it is gorgeous. Congratulations Jason on your Liberty Cap largie. Wow!! Then to find the silver cob!! That is so awesome!! It is beautiful! That is an awesome field for sure!!
Just a comment to dogtagdoug, we met at Digstock and I joked about my videos posting the same day as QH. My video this morning was about finding my oldest silver coin yet, lol. Odd coincidence. Love the video, great job on the old finds!
You guys may have found the greatest site of all time- simply staggering, mind-blowing finds! To find 2 Liberty Caps, an unreal Matron and a 2 Cent piece, and have them not even be close to the best find is hard to comprehend. Here in Mass, any of the 3 early shillings are the Holy Grail, and when Doug mentioned Pine Tree Shilling, I smiled because I had that blessing in 2008. Your cobb, here in the US, is the most unreal thing I have ever seen. Simply can't be in that condition!! I Congratulate you to the highest degree possible! I hope that site produces many more of those hard to fathom finds!
We have all been waiting for your next video and you sure surprised me! Glad you and Doug are doing well. I was worried. Love to you and your families. I'm so amazed by this I'm watching that part a few times so I can get all the details. I love learning about history.
What a coin! One of the most amazing finds I've ever seen in a detecting video. Congrats!
Your excitement on the silver made my hair stand up. Wonderful. Blessings

Congrats on the silver cobb Jason. Nice silver nickel Jason. Great silver dime Doug. Love the large cents you both found.

Wow !! A 1666 Spanish cob. Just about a life-time find. Congratulations !!
I had corn on the cob the other day, but your cob was older, and probably more valuable! What a fantastic find! 👍
Congrats on the cob and very informative walkthrough on all the lettering and meaning on it!
