      Deep down I wish he'd just like go crazy with gym / diet and get the body back at his current age, and prove all the haters wrong and start doing action films again. It's great that he's doing more touching movies and I been telling people for a long time the guy is a beast of an actor. I just hate seeing him that big (idc what liberals or w/e say it's bad for your health) and heard he suffered from depression a lot and exercise / diet are the 2 best weapons against depression, I learned this personally.

      This movie was golden. In all of Elliot's wishes his so called "friends" are in some way in his life, where as in real life they mock and avoid him right right to his face. That is why I am so glad that he grew so much through out the film. No need to want people in your life that treat you like crap.

    When I first saw this movie I thought all his co-workers were jerks. But now watching this clip I notice how overwhelmingly annoying Elliot was and how overbearing he was and how desperate he behaved. AT the very least his co-workers didn't berate him or anything. They were obviously annoyed but at least they didn't bash him. Except for telling him the wrong time which I think most of us would do to an Elliot. And although he was joking he did come off as an ass to the lady. So in a way Elliot kinda earned their disdain. But they never outright to his face tried to humiliate or put him down.

    • @ZyxthePest

      I don't think he's annoying, more so patronizing to people he desperately seeks approval of and I kinda feel that. I don't think he deserves their disdain, but I could see how it would be awkward talking to him.

      @blaqwhole4998 Год назад +16

      @@ZyxthePest if you had to deal with a coworker like that all the time every day it would exasperate you. Maybe he wasn't intentionally trying to annoy people. But he also ignored all the subtle cues that should have told him that people were annoyed by him. Communication isn't just talking and listening. It also involves watching for reactions and adjusting which he never did. And again, it wasn't like they were picking on him. They simply avoided him. Or at least they let him talk and then made an excuse to depart.

    • @ZyxthePest
      @ZyxthePest Год назад +12

      @Blaqwhole Some people are unfortunately built like that. A strong lack of confidence and constantly trying to please other to a fault. The movie does involve Fraser eventually realizing he just needs to be himself and not bend to what he thinks everyone wants.

    So deep diving a bit here but I am sure most of us have had this type of guy in the office. The difference is the one that is shown here seems to be irritating yes but innocent, more looking for a friend is all maybe goes over the line a bit but honestly if I was working with him I would actually try and speak to him just get him to calm down a bit on the things he says to co-workers but yea got good energy just needs a bit of a filter between his brain and mouth not that bad.
    A similar guy I have at work is the same but always lies about his life you can never trust what comes out of his mouth and generally when he joins in on a conversation he will always try and one up everyone in the conversation trying to act like he has something better to say and if there is a particular subject for example talking about sports cars all of a sudden this guy is an expert and has ridden in one when it is impossible but he has a magical family member who works in the production factory or whatever BS. Those types of people no one can stand, compulsive liars and it's very difficult to befriend someone like that.

    They’re sweethearts but need to be told to keep it down if you’re going to put me on blast for coming in late.
    You gotta keep them in check when they invite you to go talk to girls and not being considerate of the fact that you’re married and have a family.
    Most of the time they mean well but they just lack some self awareness.

      Think about how cold of a world it would feel to this person if everyone else is doing the same thing as you. Then if they ever snapped, you're going to be on the list.

    Ive learned that you have to be very careful with who you can be urself completely, with who u can be vulnerable with, to who u can show ur quirks and weaknesses, to who you should thrust, or share your unusual new ideas & opinions, you should read people's body language carefully, like how much they listen to u, if they check the clock while ur talking, if there start to shake their leg while you talk, or crack their fingers, or change the subject or look another place, u should check them out well when ur in success and when your in failure and bad days, and if they stay without expression when you try hard to get their honest opinion, if they empathize with you and try to give u all the help and support, try to see a persons expression when you sit with them and with her other friend at times you say something and you realize that two of them like look at each other smiling, dont be with a person who constantly make rumors and judges everyone but themselves, be with a person who laughs at ur jokes, who appreciates and respects you, dont try hard to impress, be with people who are less in quantity but are real friends & open minded
