The message in the last minute is a great measure against vanity and ocd regarding one's looks. Parents bringing up their children with this mentality could help society get better. Think of anorexia, envy of appearance, consumerism etc. This would not nullify their effect, but it would certainly help.
Great talk indeed with a good message. The camera work was a bit weird, as they did show Scott from various angles, but did not show the first few photos he talked about.
Great talk, powerful message. Couple things though: I bet Christie Brinkley is glad she doesn't wake up looking like Cindy Crawford. TEDx should have better videographers and editors - stay focused and, if the presenter is showing something on a screen, then show us the damn screen. Jeesh!
Another ad for Photoshop. I shoot film. Make each exposure like it is the last one. I don't like sitting at a computer doctoring images. I don't like to make images that require retouching.
I get what you're saying, but I work as a retoucher for an apparel company, and we go through hundreds of products a day, maybe even thousands, all on model. When you're working in such a situation retouching in literally a necessity as they don't have time to be perfectionists

Yeah, they had a clumsy director...

Dear Mr. Kelby, thank you for such an emotional message - thank you!
Hey Scott, only met you once, but your one of my heroes. Nailed it.

Scott is a role model! Awesome job on the talk! 😀
Brilliant, powerful talk, and great message!
Great job Scott Kelby thanks for the message.
Thanks for a discussion,
That was a great end!
Great talk, and so true.
Smart guy, great talk.
The slides on the screen were not visible. I wish I could have seen what you described.
It was a great speech
Good Talk.
the videographer spoiled this ted talk! Fire him
Awesome talk but, come on, were are the example photos?
Could be a copyright thing.

I only made it to the 9 minute mark. Fortunately Scott has a large of volume of work on-line
Horrible videography! The guy is referring to photographs but most of it is not shown.
Wow totally underestimating the powerful influence of the stories and imagery from the comic book heroes on children....*smh*

You know you could also shoot digital, expose the image how you want to expose and not have to edit, it's not mandatory that you do it
I don't agree with this because opinions are illegal
