    Very interesting video, thank you very much. It would also be very useful to see the adjustments that can be made to the strategy and how to defend in case the price collapses.

    What is the loss amount if it goes over the sold call drastically and how do you recoup your losses? You close it or roll to further out?

    • @optionstradingiq
      @optionstradingiq  15 дней назад +1

      The losses are limited on the call side because it is a bear call spread and does not include any naked calls. But yes, if the stock rallies, you can adjust the call by rolling up and / or out in time.

    When is the best time to close the puts and the calls how do we manage the trade

    • @optionstradingiq

      If the entire spread is in profit by 50% of the total premium, that is a good time to take profits. On the puts, consider closing when they are down to around $0.10 or $0.20.

    If I get assigned do I end up with 100 shares of SPY that will eventually most likely rise above what I paid?

    • @optionstradingiq
      @optionstradingiq  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, if assigned, you will take ownership of 100 shares of the underlying stock. You can then sell Covered Calls or just hold the stock and wait for it to rally again.

      @@optionstradingiq If the trade was with an index such spx, do I pay the put strike price in cash no matter how low the price goes?

    • @optionstradingiq

      @@LMF-ct4lt SPX is cash settled. You would pay the difference between the strike price and the settlement value.
