- We finally got the opportunity to drive the new 5+2 mid-size SUV from French which is based on the same platform as the C3 hatch and eC3 ev. While its got brilliant ride quality and a competent engine, it feels outdated at a time when the competition is offering so much. The company aims to price it quite aggressively, and thus you see cost cutting almost everywhere. In my honest opinion, this would have worked a decade earlier. Today's generation is extremely demanding, and missing out on features like automatic AC (also pretty weak in cooling performance), arm rest for front row passenger, etc are a big miss.

If elevate is priced correctly, in theory it should eat a heavy portion out of the base mid variants of the Korean Twins. As for Citroen, their product sits between the Sub 4m SUV and the compact SUV segment. It needed an automatic to boot as well as lower variants. IYDK the C3 aircross will be available as a single trim to begin with.

It was more of a chit-chat rather than a review, it can be better , I have seen ur earlier reviews it was far better plz thoda kam chit-chat and more of real review.
If the objective of a review is to talk about all the aspects covering people of all heights/preferences, then we did just that. BTW, chit chatting about a product is reviewing.
Citroen has certainly lived up to the expectations of the sane-minded people. It is good to see a company that focuses on practicality, functionality, comfort, safety, ride quality and driving enthusiasm over useless cheap cosmetic frills, over-the-top "design elements" and showy trendy features.
The stupid Indian mindset needs to change about vehicles. Instead of complaining about the gimmicky "missing features", we should applaud and appreciate the practicality, power, comfort and driveability (miles ahead of its rivals) of the vehicle...most of the trivial missing features can be added on by going to an aftermarket dealer.
It's sad that so many watered-down or Sissy lazy drivers here are looking for "pampered creature comforts" or the "look at me isn't this cool" features like sunroof (which is totally useless and unnecessary in a country like India).
Those princes and princesses who want to sit in the back seat and be chauffeured around, may look elsewhere. People like them are the curse of this industry.
What I would say the features really the C3 Aircross needed to have, though, were the 360-degree cam, the cruise control, and hill assist. These are far more useful features rather than a SUNROOF, or WIRELESS CHARGING.
If this mindset changes, perhaps our fickle minded and weakness won't be exploited by the Chinese, Japs and the Korean automakers.
I sincerely wish the automobile reviewers and analysts stopped pandering to these nonsense useless gimmicks offered by the "oriental" ostentatious car makers and instead focus on highlighting the utilities and practical side of vehicles.
So very well said. Citroen is known for its suspension which is a boon for our bad pothole-ridden roads. Great engine performance and driving comfort. No wonder an amazing carmaker like Ford decided to pack and go due to this Indian mindset of getting all kind of frill features and not much bothered about core engineering and quality!
I have to agree. Personally, I can easily live without sunroof, wireless charging, auto AC, and even push start/stop button.
A reliable engine with decent power, comfortable suspension and seats, overal ease of driving matters more!!

Triber is not 5+2 it's proper 7 seater... even being under 4m the team has amazingly been able to design 7 seating accommodation which is even more then many above 4 meters cars...cost cutting dekh k to lagta hai k iski max to max top model 10 lakh ex showroom se uppar honi hi nhi chahiye

Unfortunately for a friend C3 TAXI Model Shine ka TD ले आया. To be honest 1.2 Shine variant for over ₹10 lacs on Road is not worth it. Except the Ride Comfort or Suspensions. Rest would say is mediocre in comparison with competition offerings.
Worst are Uncomfortable Rear Seat Ingress-Egress, the old school door handle & lock जोह Alto & Wagon R inspired है.
Missing for that price are Adjustable head Rest, Rear AC vents, Electrically Retractable ORVMs, Push button start/Stop, Engine protection cover.......etc. On top of it all found the engine Noisy-vibration & on acceleration produced roar which is pronounced in the cabin inspite of insulation on the bonnet. Poor warranty & Service Stns Network.
Would say it's a Datsun Class Car with 1.2 NA Petrol engine & That's it. May not survive in India for long with these offerings.
PUNCH 1.2 NA, Kiger-Magnite with 1.0 TC MT & CVT are far too better VFM than the French C3 TAXI model.

After C3 got zero NCAP, the least they could do it used a different name for this car. The car is definitely outdated, has lower fit finish and poor space management. I feel it will face Marazzo fate.
