I believe it's more likely that her next installment of Attorney fees were due which she cannot pay, apparently she's been in arrears for a while. Doesn't look like anyone is coming to her aid either, she has asked family members to but up the money, but looks like that has failed too.

I think she probably can’t pay for it anymore. The other day was supposed to be her initial hearing, which is crazy it’s taken over a year for that, I don’t think we should be confining people for that long before proving there is enough evidence to try them. But the prosecution was STILL unprepared and given 5 more weeks so she probably was just like not able to keep paying them and will have to get a public defender

They quit because, she couldn’t pay anymore. They have to say in reconcilable differences to keep the integrity of the client going because, if she does come up with money, she can retain new council however, if you see her walking in court with a court appointed attorney, you will know that that motion to withdraw was not because, that they didn’t want to represent her. It was merely because she simply ran out of money. This is a high profile capital murder case litigation ain’t cheap. Skye Lazaro is probably like 500 an hour and going through all that discovery and watching all those videos she’s easily probably about $30,000 in legal fees.

Kouri Richens is pretty, unassuming & seemingly normal woman which makes her scary as Hell once you learn the charges. She murdered her husband depriving their kids of a father & then wrote a children’s book about grief from a death in the family & then carried on as if things were normal. That is beyond diabolical. It’s pure evil. The effort & thinking she put in shows how cold & vindictive this woman is. There is nothing scarier than that because it’s the last place that one would think they’d find such evilness. Unreal.
I feel so bad for their children who lost their father whom they will learn or have learned was murdered by their own mother. If they are able to have a normal life without paralyzing trauma haunting them, then it’ll be a miracle. RIP Eric. Hopefully justice is served & your psychotic ex-wife will never see the world outside of prison for the rest of her life.
