Government has called on the opposition NOT to politicize the death of former First Lady MAUREEN MWANAWASA.
Acting Information and Media Minister ELVIS NKANDU says Government will NOT be derailed by the opposition but will concentrate on mourning and celebrating the life of Mrs. MWANAWASA.
Speaking when he led a delegation of senior Government officials to the funeral house in Lusaka today, Mr. NKANDU said there is time for everything, adding that this is not the time to accuse Government that it neglected the late former First Lady.
In an interview with ZNBC News at the funeral house, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Minister ELIAS MUBANGA said Government will support the MWANAWASA family.
Mr. MUBANGA said Mrs. MWANAWASA was a strong pillar who helped late President MWANAWASA to govern the country which registered positive economic growth.
He said Mrs. MWANAWASA will also be remembered for her humanitarian works through the many initiatives she did.
