Great to see a recent Nomad 3 video. I've been wondering about the noises my machine makes - especially the rattling sound from the X axis moves. From what I can hear, your Nomad also makes a rattling noise with X moves, which is somewhat comforting, I guess. My Z axis also makes a similar noise when moving down (but never when moving up).
Great video. I'm a user and fan of Carbide 3D products. I've never dealt with a company that is more dedicated to their customers success. No matter what product your using their customer service is the best. They also have a fantastic community that can will help others in any way possible. Good luck with your Nomad 3!!
@@courcreate Thank you. I used the denture example to describe the geometry of the parts I am interested in milling. I do not necessarily want to mill dentures, rather, organic-like parts. As you said, could this machine accomplish such geometries if done properly?
I ordered two, and I won't even open the second one. I am having so many problems, including customer service. Not sure what happened to this company, but wow... Really went downhill.
@@courcreate With the machine? Backlash and a bad linear rail that caused skipping and broken bits. Also severe run-out because the spindle bearings are no longer press fit like the 883. With service: 10+ days between replies and very little understanding of the mechanics of the machine. When you do get a reply, it's always "send me a video so I can show an engineer". I swear I used to be able to call, get a human being and an immediate solution.
@@courcreate could you tell me the thickness of the aluminium frame pls? So the thickness of the plates, the linearguides are attached to. Would be awesome.

Well said!
Does the Nomad 3 work with a Macbook pro? Or do you have to have a windows based computer to run it?
No way!... Alex! Its Voice. Shopping CNCs and came across this video. Hope all is well!
Can this machine be used to Jewellery wax designs?
Did you ever get this working?
How does this compare with a Bantam Tools CNC mill?
This is 100. Times better
Hi! Can this machine be used to mill dental models?
It is capable of extreme detail. If operated with enough skill I would say so. Although 3d msla printing may be a more cost effective solution

So that machine came out 3 years ago and these guys are just now getting one? Why not get a more up to date model?
This is the latest model of the nomad. I'm confused about your question.

What kind of issues?

Wow those are some cheap lead screws.
