This young man is a difference-maker and I'm a Longhorn fan. It will be interesting to see if his O-line can give him enough time to be effective against Texas, but this kid is an incredible passer and runner. He runs like a fullback and lowers his shoulder and has a low center of gravity that makes those types of runs effective. I predict he will give us problems if his line can protect him.

      Gives me 2013 Mariota vibes

Beautiful deep ball. Very careful with the ball. Where he struggles is actually like on slant patterns but tbh whose to say a reciever didn't cut at the right tim2 or take the best angle. Sometimes it's easy to sit back and blame every incompletion on the qb. He did so well for us given thr circumstances and hope he sticks around one more year to see him throw to Gibson amd orhers

Marcus Mariota comparison 2.0 might be a jacket they covet him with already. HIs ceiling could be high he got to prove his worth very quickly.
bigger picture he's the most balance qb in college he elevates his game. he can be a problem and win playoffs and get to a national title he's 1st pick in pro draft. Easy.

Defense was obviously the bigger issue this year. It's hard to win averaging 32 points a game when your defense give up damn near the same point average on defense.

We’ll it’s an improvement from how our defense used to be. If we had a half decent defense back when we had Baker and Kyler we’d of won at least 2 national championships

@@bryarkelley3489 an improvement? They were nearly last in the country in total defense and giving up nearly 220 rushing yards per game. It’s hard to win games like that. It especially doesn’t help when the defense is on the field a lot because of the quick tempo offense

@@Chiefcall911 it was way worse back then. We were giving up 50 points a game to teams like West Virginia

@@bryarkelley3489 you mean like in 2017 and 2018 when Mike Stoops was the DC? Believe it or not, but the defense improved somewhat with Alex Grinch. The defense was never this bad under Grinch. He never had a defense that ranked 122nd in the country. That’s not a shot at Venables because I have full faith in him and he’s getting the kind of players and talent he wants on that side of the ball and hope to see a top 75 defense this year. Defense was bad this year. I’ve never seen as many busted coverages as I saw by an Oklahoma defense, even under Mike, as I saw last year. It’s not in Venables either, he had to play with players that he didn’t recruit and guys that just didn’t fit his scheme

yea you're right.. He couldn't beat Baylor or Oklahoma State and BARELY BARELY snuck past Kansas and STILL can't win a CONFERENCE Championship Oh and got DEMOLISHED by Utah lol One thing Im noticing is the guys Riley didn't recruit did AMAZING. Baker, Murray, Hurts. The ones he did Williams, Rattler CANT WIN BIG GAMES 😂😂😂✌🏾

@@MichaelWayne87 Caleb Williams and Rattler both improved since they left Oklahoma... but as long as Riley keeps grinch, USC will continue to lose big games. South Carolina is a team that won't make it there to begin with. Either way, these guys are playing for stats and to make plays that catch the eyes of NFL scouts... they don't care as much about National Championships as fans and Coaches do. Because whether they win one or not, will mean nothing when they step up to the big league.
