I have to replace my boot door gasket for the first time so this video was most appreciated for me. It's going to be "fun" getting those screws out at the bottom of this thing because it's not exactly light! Thanks again!
Here goes my SIMPLE FIX WITHOUT TAKING THE ENTIRE THING APART. I first drained the unit from the bottom door drain plug, then I unplugged the unit, I cut a 8 foot piece of thick weedeater string, doubled it up and crammed it down each little opening where the detergent and softener goes. I did it about 5x on each one then poured almost boiling hot water down each opening then repeated that process one more time, plugged back in and problem solved! Took less than 15 mins😂🤷🏼♂️
Really helpful video! Saved us so much time disassembling the housing etc. I stopped using powder detergent 30+ years ago for the same reason. I use Lysol Laundry Sanitizer instead of bleach and the load and drum smells so much better.
Great job @jpulley - excellent detailed instructions on all the nuances and tricks to disassemble that panel. Mine has repeated the leak and LC1 error after I thought it was just plugged at the softener part of the drain - it may be that main section you highlighted, so will get into (I'll first just try some really hot water down there to see if it clears! Again, thanks for s super-detailed procedure - much appreciated!
One of the reasons that this happens it fabric softener. Try using vinegar instead and it should not clog. Thank you for the video of how to take it apart these things are a pain in the butt if there is any issue.
Hi. I have upper washer stop working. Did you have any issues with upper one. It start the cycle to drain then no errors, no water going in to the washer timer stays on.
Would you happen to know how to disassemble the top portion so I can change the washer tub ring assembly? The upper inner lock lid handle broke and the samsung sent me the entire part. I can't beyond the plastics
just remove the front boot spring , pull back the door boot and reach into the bottom of the lock grab the pull strap and pull it down, it will unlock ... or drain out all the water out buy using a shop vacuum on the end of the drain hose, and then plug in machine and hit start and it might unlock door...
Awesome video. So do you think the root of the problem is because you were using powder detergent rather than liquid? After your switch, u continue to have the LC1 problem? Thanks for sharing.
I think liquid would have been a lot harder to plug even if my daughter put 4 times too much. However, I think if you are using a normal amount of quality powder that has the "he" (high efficiency) on the box you should be fine.
I linked it with smartthings and it asks for an update in the middle of that they disconnected it now the board doesn't turn on, can someone help me solve the problem?
If you get that code the water has run out to the floor. The sensors in the bottom of the washing machine has sensed the water and shut the machine down. You generally just need to dry the sensors out. Possibly replace one or both of them. Opening the machine like I did will allow you to dry out the sensor and or take car of what even cause the water to overflow. Usually some kind of plugged drain as it was in my case.
1LC1 is usually because the softener dispenser is clogged and overflowing due to the stupid little disc in the line that gets plugged with softener. The water overflows and hits the leak sensor at the bottom of the unit. Quickest fix I've seen is steaming it through the dispenser. I'd open the line and remove the disc or it will happen again. All the disc is used for is to more evenly distribute the softener. Unnecessary! Or better yet, don't use softener at all. It's not good for the machine even though it's supposedly designed to use it. It's also not good for your fabrics or your skin. It is wax based chemicals and coats and gums up everything causing machine sensors to eventually malfunction and towels to be less absorbent, etc. Use a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of 5% normal household distilled white vinegar instead. You'll be amazed at the results and save all kinds of money on the softener itself, as vinegar is way cheaper. Also will save money in the long run on machine maintenance and new fabrics. This goes for Dryer sheets too. Although they are not as intrusive as the liquid softener. Great video!
I can't seem to find it right now but at one point I saw a video of a guy on youtube disassembling the top washer. You might spend some time searching for it. Its out there somewhere.
Haha... how to disassemble it Haha... just start taking it apart, thats how i learned, just jump into it, it is just little screws and plastic panels , just be very careful on pulling to hard on things, but it will come apart easy, takes about 2 - 3 hours to remove it the first time, but only 2 hours the next time. just do it...
Samsung sent me multiple techs to try and fix until they sent me a new washer, and that replacement washer was messed up as well. They won’t fix and it’ll be super expensive
Good video on my way to do this. 1 year ago I ordered the upper tub ring with lock. It was on backorder, came defective 3x. 6 month repair. Dont buy Samsung!
Well first off this was not a full year down. I just wasted time for nothing because my issue is the spider arm. Second how do you not know you are supposed to be using liquid HE soap. Everybody knows this.
My detergent is "HE" but when your kid uses like 5 scoops anything can happen. I probably could have used better wording. I meant the is the full teardown to fix the 1LC1/LC1 error code. Some other people will say to fix this error code you need to get to this part then dry it out or replace it. They never show the steps to get to those parts. In hindsight I maybe should have used the phrase "step by step to fix that code" I'll change the title but I'm probably won't be making a new thumbnail.
Haha... yep your right not a full tear down... SVC VIDEOS FACTORY TECHS had like 4 super videos on a full tear down i watch them like 30 times and memorized them step by step. now about 6 months ago they removed there videos on the washer, so sad to see that...
If your not a tech you should look into it, you have the qualities. Even if you did it part time. Nice Job, you saved yourself $275. 🤜🤛

Thanks my dude, I wasn't having the same issue but it help a lot the initial teardown, I didn't know where to start lol
So glad you made this video. I have that model. Needed to replace rubber door seal. Thank you

Great job; great lesson

As a repairman I would never service these id have to charge too much for my labor
WOW it takes about one hour to replace the recall on this problem ,,, how much is your labor an hour???
Good video, rhanks!
Anyone know the part # for that washer boot seal???
Hi. I have upper washer stop working. Did you have any issues with upper one. It start the cycle to drain then no errors, no water going in to the washer timer stays on.
I haven't had any problems with my upper washer. Do you have an error code on the upper washer?
Thanks so much for this. You are awesome.
Would you happen to know how to disassemble the top portion so I can change the washer tub ring assembly? The upper inner lock lid handle broke and the samsung sent me the entire part. I can't beyond the plastics
Unfortunately I haven't had to take apart the top washer so I'm not really sure how you would go about it.
Were you able to resolve this? I have the same issue
My handle also broke, were you able to fix yours? If so, do you have a video link to share??
The portion is one piece
You have to take the cables from the back off
Thank you for posting this video, can you please share instructions to replace Washer Tub Lid Handle DC64-03483A on this machine.
You can get to that unlock loop by tilting the washer backwards without taking anything apart.
I have that kind of washing but the lower washer not working ang the door is locked how to unlocked it. what is the possible problem of that.thank you

Any videos of replacing the door seal/gasket/boot
Sorry I don't have a video on replacing the seal
@@jpulley hey brother I just watched this video and I think it’ll be enough for me to figure the rest out. Thanks so much for doing what you do!
the door seal takes about 20 mins to replace it. and cost like $45-$90 for the boot, so easy to do. just watch a video...

I’ve the same error code. How much will this fix cost if I want to get it done?
I'm just a diy guy so I have no idea what it would cost for a repair. Having the error code already when you start calling around should be helpful.
Samsung sent me multiple techs to try and fix until they sent me a new washer, and that replacement washer was messed up as well. They won’t fix and it’ll be super expensive
If it is when your using the top washer it could be the water hose. Mine was not clipped on properly from the factory.
call SEARS HOME REPAIR, THEY CAN DO IT QUICK, FOR A SMALL FEE,,, there is a recall on this problem...

NOT A FULL TEAR DOWN AT ALL. MORE LIKE ONLY FRONT PANEL REMOVEAL ONLY... SAD..
Your clearly using way too much soap
Yeah I'm sure there was far more than a single scoop in there.
This is not a full tear down of a flex washer
