  • The University of Phoenix is touted as an affordable, flexible option for higher education designed specifically for working adults. And when it comes to their online MBA program, you might be wondering, “is this school and its MBA program worth it?”
    As someone who has gone through a traditional undergraduate business program full-time in-person, and having done an online MBA, (at a different school, but online nonetheless), in this video, I’m going to do an overview of the university and the MBA program and give my perspective to help answer that question.

    Get your master's and then get a certificate and potential employers will notice. For example, complete the UofPX MBA and get a certificate in Business Analytics or Project Management.

      Exactly what I'm doing right now. Just add the certificate to your resume.

      Thanks Anaestereo! To reiterate/clarify from the video though, I don't have first hand experience w/ this university specifically. Just first hand experience with an online MBA program. But have known and worked w/ people with a degree from here.

    You can get your masters degree anywhere, at this point if you’re working on your masters and get your degree you’re good enough for a job to look at you. I received my MBA from University of Maryland - Global Campus and I’m still in the military. I’m about to work on my PhD (doctorate) in business from Liberty University and believe me I know those two schools are not like UCLA or Harvard, but for me I’m serving in the military and made E-6 in 6 years. I’ve accomplished so much and from what I know about how I’m doing, people will respect you by what you do with your work experience and your degree. ❤ Don’t let a schools reputation deter you from earning your degrees.

    The University of Phoenix, as well as traditional state schools like California State University and the University of Denver, offer similar curriculum and pricing structures. From personal experience, having graduated from all three institutions, I believe that the quality of education ultimately depends on the commitment and goals of the individual student. All three universities provide the necessary materials for those who aspire to become scholars.
    Perceptions play a significant role in evaluating educational institutions. Just like some drivers prefer Chevron gas over AmPm gas, even though both originate from the same source and additives are introduced later, the underlying product remains the same. Similarly, opinions about universities can vary based on individual preferences and biases.
    It is worth noting that for-profit schools like the University of Phoenix have often faced criticism. However, the quality of education they offer may not necessarily be the primary concern. For instance, veterans who receive the GI Bill often choose to attend accredited colleges, including for-profit schools, as a means to supplement their income after leaving the military. While these universities may serve a purpose for financial stability, it is essential to question whether veterans attending such institutions are primarily focused on becoming scholars or merely seeking financial support.

    I would've been much more negative on UoP. For profit, extremely low graduation rate (27%), virtually no admissions standards, multiple lawsuits and settlements for their predatory recruitment and false advertising, and some employers won't sponsor tuition because they're not AACSB-accredited. Just don't even consider this school!

    • @user-pl4nx2bt5u
      @user-pl4nx2bt5u 3 месяца назад +1

      I didn’t go there but wouldn’t a low grad rate indicate rigor and they are not letting people pass without work? Barrier to entry may be low but to get it done, you need to do the work.
      They are accredited by the US accreditation body. I think traditional schools are threatened by the paradigm shift and have been for a long time…. I remember when they were bashing online schools and now almost all of them offer online education and in the same way as for profit.

    • @emailjwr
      @emailjwr 3 месяца назад

      @@user-pl4nx2bt5u no. You want a low acceptance rate and higher graduation rate. UoP is the opposite on both

    I received two masters from University of Pheonix and Im going to a more reputable college to get a third masters in business analytics. I don’t think University of Phoenix is reputable. Some one ask if this institution is accredited. 😂
