It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
    family.
Thank you so much for following along on this journey. Your love and support help me so much.

Watching your videos is a blessing & really puts things into perspective for me. I'm reminded that my daughter drinking my last Diet Coke is not a big deal when I see a mom like Jenny who is literally fighting for her life in hopes of having just more day with her children. I imagine that's a feeling that no mom can ever fully comprehend unless they're in that situation. I lost my husband when I was 7 months pregnant with our first & only child. I felt so confused & jaded. For the longest time I found myself angry with God & questioning Him as to why He allows such bad things to happen to such good people. Some of those same feelings & questions resurface every time I see a new vlog of yours. Although life isn't always fair, you are incredibly blessed to have a husband like Kyle who I know beyond a shadow of a doubt will make sure that your children grow up feeling like they know you & he will never allow them to forget how much you loved them. Life isn't measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. It's also not limited to our date of birth & the date of our passing. That little dash (-) in between those 2 dates is what matters most because it's filled with all the experiences & love that God so kindly gifted to us. It tells our life story for many, many years to come. I hope both you & Kyle know that there's a whole army of people who only know you by the internet, but are praying for you, Kyle & your 2 sweet babies. ❤️

@@WeRemainFaceless We live in a fallen world. God does not give cancer to anyone. He sent His Son to save us (from our sin debt) because He loves us. Miracles do happen, and hope is a powerful thing that helps us go through hard times. Life on earth is just a whisp of a breath compared to eternity. Trials like this are very hard for Jenny and her family and everyone dealing with hard things. We naturally want to blame God. But it is far better to ask Him for strength to go through the trials in life that we all must face. Prayers make a difference. With prayer, we can still be at peace. There is a much bigger picture than this short time on earth, but it is what we know so it's really tough to face our own death or the death of a loved one. @@lizgephart2040 As a patient prescribed Klonopin (same family as Xanax and Ativan - the benzodiazepines) my heart goes out to you...anxiety & panic attacks are the worst!!! I've been on disability approximately 30 years due to "Major Depression, Recurrent; Rapid Cycling." It runs in our family. I saw the same psychiatrist for most of that time and, with the right combo of medications, I'd been able to lead a normal life UNTIL about 15 yrs. ago when my Dr. put me on a different anti-depressant when the previous one quit working. About a week later I began waking up in the morning in major panic and horrific anxiety, my body literally shaking. I lived alone and it took about 3 hours to start coming out of it enough to function. When I told my Dr. at the next visit, he prescribed clonazepam (Klonopin) at a very high dose. I asked if there were any side effects or things I should know while taking it as I'd never taken an anti-anxiety med. He said, It will make you feel better." Two extremely important things he did not tell me: 1. The med is intended for very short-term; taking it daily should be no longer than two weeks. 2. The med is very addictive as the body habituates to it. I asked the Dr. if he would wean me off; he said I needed it. (I know now to research and find a new Dr. if necessary.) Ok, I need anti-depressants as well so I continued on and was fine unless something interfered with my taking it daily, like when my Dr. unexpectedly went out of the country with no one to cover for him, leaving me without Klonopin for over two weeks!!!! I felt like I was going mad!!!! 😶‍🌫 After leaving his practice due to moving I just had whatever family practitioner I saw prescribe it and some did help me in weaning down to my current very low dose. Two psych P.A.'s refused to help me wean off when I sought their help, stating due to my age (now 69) and how long I've been on the med, weaning off would be too hard on my body and it has to be so slow I would likely die naturally before getting weaned off. Peachy!
Deep depressive episodes run in my father's family but I was stable on the anti-depressants then harmed by the psych med. that renders me unable to function if not taken regularly. I think you said you take Ativan? It's also in the same family as Klonopin (benzodiazipines) along with Xanax and Valium. When I've been in the hospital or ER and given my daily anti-anxiety med, they use Ativan and (for me) it has a MUCH smoother transition in and out of my system. I asked the home care psych nurse if I could please switch to Ativan and she refused...GAAAHHHHH so I'm really pleased your medical team has you on Ativan. There is a site online called Benzo Buddies (all one word but YT won't take it for some reason). It is a support forum for people trying to wean off any of the benzos. I read tons of introduction posts that were my story exactly: anti-depressant med pooped out, patient developed severe anxiety & was put on a benzo. Doesn't sound "coincidental" at all! 🤐 I recommend the site even if not weaning off for the wealth of info on benzos as well as other meds when they're used as a combo. I recently heard the anti-depressant that caused this whole mess is being recalled for too many severe, negative side effects. I'm ok staying on the low amount but I DO want to switch to Ativan so need to start calling Drs.
@Jenny & Kyle - Didn't mean to write a book....lol...but I am very passionate re: mental illness, its treatment, and that it IS a valid illness. I earned a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and had some wonderful jobs until anxiety would hit and throw everything off kilter. Walking with our other "fam" members on your journey, praying for and supporting you and your wonderful family. May Jesus wrap His protective arms around you and your family.
then earning a Masters degree and in mental health counseling and working in the field, I know some of their symptoms and, after all this time, I'm still learning more. I'm with you on not being survive without the benzo, or at least my body sends signals to my brain and nervous system telling it that. NOTE: I am not a Dr. and this is not meant as professional advice, just personal experience. I recommend a web site help forum for those addicted to benzos. A lot of very helpful info there from people who have walked in our shoes. Medications affect different people in different ways plus dosage variations, the type of diets we eat, exercise - all can affect the way a medication works within our system. It sounds like you already know the potential short-term effects and/or withdrawal. I actually wasn't as well-versed on long term use but when I entered the late 60's I felt like I was going mad!!!! 😶‍🌫 After leaving his practice due to moving I just had whatever family practitioner I saw prescribe it but some did help me in weaning down to my current very low dose. Two psych P.A.'s refused to help me wean off when I sought their help, stating due to my age (now 69) and how long I've been on the med, weaning off would be too hard on my body and it has to be so slow I would likely die naturally before getting weaned off. Peachy!
So hear I am - on disability due to a genetic mental illness, but kept stable with meds, but was then harmed by the psych I trusted via a med that makes me feel like I'm in hell if I miss a dose for any reason. I think you said you take Ativan? It's also in the same family as Klonopin (benzodiazipines) along with Xanax and Valium. When I've been in the hospital or ER and given my daily anti-anxiety med, they use Ativan and it has a MUCH smoother transition in and out of my body. I'm ok staying on the low amount but I DO want to switch to Ativan so need to start calling Drs. The worst part is, my step-father doesn't believe in mental illness per se and I guess thinks I'm faking it and I think resented help my mother provided when I was between jobs before disability. She now has dementia and sides with my step-father; that entire memory block is apparently gone. I'm an only child and know she loved me dearly as did her but now acts like she hates me. After 46 years of getting along well with my step-father (which isn't easy - he has two T-shirts that sum it up - 1. I know everything. Just ask me. and 2. I only like two people in the world and you're not one of them) and my mother's brain not working, I feel like I've been thrown out of the family, only 3 of us to begin with, and now can't call my mother to have her talk me down from panic. We spoke every day. Now it's been a year since I've seen her!! Step-father moved her back home after three years in memory care where she thrived. She's 90 and he's 92...I can't imagine things are going well. When I see the love in your family and the way you & Kyle parent your children I feel envious (in a positive way) and regret I can't go back to about age 25 with what I know now.

@@lizgephart2040 I wasn't aware of long-term harm from benzos but now know little a bit. When I hit age 65 my current Drs. began saying, "We've got to get you off that Klonopin." I asked why and Dr. said it can cause dementia. ARRRGGGH! After that comment I did more research and found a list of long-term effects; the only ones I can recall atm is the linkage to dementia and Parkingsons Disease. It's kind of a "battle of the doctors" - some refuse to help me wean off because I'm on a tiny dose and from here out the weaning procedure is verrrrrrry long; the others say I should get off them but never follow through. I need to decide what I want to do then stick with it.
"Benzo Buddies" all one word. There is a wealth of info on the site plus an active forum where you can ask questions if you wish. Using the "does it do more harm than good" medical model, for me at my age (that everyone keeps pointing out - some to say basically "You're too old to wean off," others to list the elder-type diseases I could encounter. My recommendation is to talk to your Dr. as he/she has your medical history, age, other medical issues, etc. If you don't have a Dr. or don't have one you're uncomfortable dealing with on this issue, you can speak with a counselor who is knowledgeable about psych meds.

Good morning Jenny, I took you on my prayer walk this morning and feeling God asking me to pray. I want to send you some encouraging words today to hang onto and think about. I know you struggle with the anxiety of it all, along with the suffering that cancer entails, and just wanted to let you know what came to my spirit for you. I have been praying for a complete miracle for you since I read and looked back at your story around April of this year! Where is your compassion for what Jenny is going through? I don’t believe I could have had the grace and dignity she has shown if I had been facing the same prognosis when my daughter was so young. I have health conditions that limit my quality of life considerably but I got to raise my daughter and see her healthy, happily married with 6 wonderful grand babies to now enjoy. I have followed you, Jenny, since the beginning of your journey. Looking at the touching comments I can see the love for you from your RUclips fans. I have not written before, but would like to do so now after reading
what your fans shared about their own battles with panic attacks or "anxiety disorder," or PTSD.
I have been a psychiatric RN for many years. I now have a debilitating lung disease. I just want to say something about panic attacks that might help. They are REAL, and so many people experience them, some to the point that their lives are compromised. All of us who have them, including me, should not feel ashamed or embarrassed to discuss them. For those with breathing disorders and anxiety combined have an additional situation causing the body to react. (The medical term is dyspnea ) - Difficult breathing triggers the reaction of lack of oxygen to stimulate the body to release adrenaline. The combination of the two often resembles a heart attack which then makes the person more anxious.
I have seen people in the ER in distress dismissed once the medical team deems "it is only a panic attack." Medication is necessary to alleviate their symptoms. I believe you said today that you had. Ativan and Sertraline.
I guess this is for your loyal and loving fans who have shared their stories of panic attacks today, as well as for you. But, as we all know, there is nothing like a loving, understanding family to be with you. I am so glad you have them. Your whole family support is wonderful, You are a beautiful and courageous woman who should be very proud of how you face this illness and still worry about those you love.. The baby is so cute!!! I am happy you have both your family and Disney Land so close by! My brother is going through stage 4 cancer treatment. When we all get together he says, "I actually forget I am sick". Family support, where you can just be your raw self is a blessing. You are in our prayers Jenny!

Yes one is 300 miled away but I would walk to them if it were different. I am single and my son and family live in Alaska. I am having another major surgeries and bless my friends hearts.

I can't stand patronising comments like this. Stop comparing Jenny's situation to others.
Just because Jenny has a supportive family doesn't mean she's 'better off' then someone who doesn't. I feel terrible for anyone in this situation, family or not. It's terrible to suffer alone, and it's terrible to be ripped away from everyone you know and love. Especially your two small children.

Anxiety is self perpetuating - it’s good that you know a coping mechanism to break the cycle. It’s not pleasant on its own, but with all you are dealing with it’s amazing you cope so well at all. ❤

I used to get panic attacks, and the mere thought of them was enough to drive me to a place of unexplainable terror. I have such empathy for this condition thrown atop your other medical struggles. Just know the example of your strength and perseverance is so humbling. I am in awe of your grace and love amid your persistent medical hardships.

Hi Jenny, I'm so happy you got to stay at your sisters house. Good for you, the distraction, the whole family, yours and your sister's family to focus on and alleviate some stress. Your sister is a gem. Nice the guys did their thing at Disney as they love it there too. All the kids are adorable, and so are your Disney pj's, hugs and love and prayers as always to you and your precious family.

I loved spending my time with my sister too. When she got ill , i didn't want to let her go. All the appointments , many appointments, i loved the time with her too. She would say to me " thankyou for all you do, and if one day you get ill , il look after you". She was a positive person, you guys would have really got on so well. She's my angel now , and i get signs all the times, she's my happy angel. Your video had me in tears , cause when you said about having your sister s feet at your head, that's how we used too sleep when we were kids😢. I think your family is amazing . My sisters name is Wendy and has been my angel since April 6th 2021 xx

✋🏻panic/anxiety sufferer and conquerer, here’s my best advice: when I feel anxiety creeping up or am slammed with full on panic, I just say to myself, “ I surrender” and not try to fight it. I’ve gotten so confident in this that my episodes after really subsided quickly. Just trust that our sweet Lord’s arms are around you and you don’t need to try to fight the anxiety. Best to you! I hope this is helpful to you.
