I am having the same issue when trying to connect to my Galaxy S4. I tried connecting to iPhone 4 - no problem at all. I guess this has to do with the new android app. will try to find an older version of this app - maybe that will solve the issue.
i have a sj4000+ plus wifi and have the same problem. i can connect it with iPhone 4S (IOS) by the app but NEVER connect it with my LG G4 (android) by the app
This issue seems to have been solved by installing the newest firmware which you can find here: www.sjcam.com/en/content/8-sjcam-sj4000-wifi-action-camera-firmware
With the old firmware, the issue was whether you have the OSD option set to on or off. When set to ON, connecting to the app was not an issue. When the option is set to OFF, the app will connect the first time only if the camera has not been reset. Once the camera was turned off and on again with OSD setting to OFF, the app would not connect. New firmware seems to have solved this problem.
Hi. The version I am using may be out of date at this time. Here is a link to their firmware page where you can choose the right firmware for your device. The version I had installed at the time of this video was from Dec 2014. www.sjcam.com/content/category/3-Firmware
