These guys are genius. I love their melodies and how they combine them with those amazing rhythms and esoteric atmospheres. Most of their albums are not really black metal in the classical sense, since they've been always a very experimental band. For example, if you listen to A Dead Poem (an album from 1997, so really back in the days) it's almost gothic rock with harsh vocals. And if you like the style of the song, it's more or less the sound they've been cultivating since Theogonia, which is a killer of an album btw.
Thankfully Rotting Christ visit Germany very often. I've seen Metallica, I've seen Slayer, I've seen them all. But Rotting Christ is the best life band there is. It's just.... Wow
Rotting Christ, Varathron, Acherontas and Lucifer's Child is the masters of Hellenic Black Metal. This song still gives me goose bumps all over my body and RC is very underrated as a band and they get better and better by the years.

Excellent band that I feel has been held back by their a bit misleading name. Misleading in a sense that some people think they are some extreme black metal band they don't even want to try out. It's a shame, since they are very melodic and atmospheric group. One of my favorites.
Have loved Rotting Christ for several years now. I'd also suggest to check out their song with Diamanda Galas - "Orders from the Dead" and another one called "Fire, Death and Fear". Other than that "Athanati Este" and "Demonon Vrosis" are others I'd recommend. Enjoy!

Greek black metal do sound a lot different from the stuff coming from scandinavia, other bands you could check out are Varathron, Necromantia, Thou art lord, Macabre omen and Kawir.
I been following you guys for a while glad to see you do Rotting Christ check out all of the songs can't go wrong at all! plus I want to point out that when you said they had a bahemoth feel Rotting Christ has been around since 88 anyways they always evolve music wise which is a good thing otherwise it will get boring quick. Do more from them you will not be disappointed trust me!!

They experimented with different sounds and genres. Unfortunately because of their name they still have problems with simple minded christians in Greece and other countries.

For me "666" is one of the 2-3 more "mediocre" songs of this album - although it is the only one with a "proper" video clip.
