    Hi everyone! If you're like me, and enjoy outdoor adventures using your truck, then this video may be helpful, I'll talk you through my simple off grid solar power setup, using Renogy gear.
    I've had this mod on the Nissan Frontier (Navara) for over a year now, so have been able to get an idea of how this particular system performs.
    The setup includes, the Renogy Black Division 100w Panel, 12v 100ah Lithium Pro Battery, 20a Rover MPPT charge controller and BT-1 Module for the DC Home app.
    For my power demands either while working and overlanding/camping, the system has worked very well so far, and would recommend this mod if you have a similar sized truck or off grid power needs.
    (Please remember when installing any electrical system, including 12v solar power, to follow the installation instructions closely, and include fuses to all products and accessories)
    Many thanks for watching, and please remember to subscribe, like and share!

      Many thanks! I like, how low profile it is, but still does a good job 👍

    When using the Renogy DC Home app, advanced battery parameters can be set, such as boost duration, by going into settings 👍

    Tidy looking install, especially the controller and power outlets 👍 You mentioned cloud where you are, so how does it perform in winter time? Thanks for sharing

      Appreciate your comment, thanks! The solar install has been through 1 winter so far. There were a couple of days and nights when it was not only cloudy, but cold, negative degrees. I’d been using the system for my work and noticed a low battery power notification on the app. So I connected the battery up to a lithium charger that got it up to 100%. I’ve got a feeling the cold also had an effect on the battery as well as lack of sunlight. Other than that it’s been running good! Have to wait and see how the winter goes this year.

      Nice setup on your rig. MPPT far better than PWM. Lots of cloud in winter so good call.

    Thanks for sharing this…just wanted to ask…when you have time to reply…what you used for fixing panel down?

    • @The4x4WindowCleaner
      @The4x4WindowCleaner  2 месяца назад +1

      @@MaxAnderson-x1t Thanks for your comment. I used a combo of 3M double sided tape and black Sikaflex 522, held up great. The panel is very flexible, and went down well over some curved ridges on truck roof 👌
