Hey you're the guy who destroyed my child hood right? Seriously the more I look in SF the more “realistic” it gets like this could happen if talking choo choo pals are real and the government be like fuck you I want a mutation plant next to the running branchline
EDIT 5/21/2021: Wouldn't you know it! Turns out my idea already (sort of) happened at some point in the series! Look up "Diesel and the Ducklings." My idea for a story: Diesel doesn't like other engines very much, but he actually gets along very well with wild animals. While pulling a freight train one day, Thomas accidentally discovers Diesel's favorite hiding spot, and sees him surrounded by animals who don't fear him at all. Thomas realizes Diesel is actually a big softie and just puts on an act because he doesn't trust anyone. Thomas tries to tell the other engines, but they all think he's joking. So Thomas then executes a plan to show everyone that Diesel is actually good. What he actually does is up for debate, but suffice it to say, it doesn't go quite according to plan. There are some misunderstandings, some lessons learned the hard way, but in the end, all the engines realize Diesel isn't so bad, and Diesel realizes Thomas was just trying to help him. Having been accepted by everyone, Diesel apologizes for his past behavior and promises to be more sociable. The Fat Controller shows up and overhears this and commends everyone for making Diesel feel welcomed and for working out their differences, calling everyone really useful engines. Title it, "The..."Delightful" Diesel?"
Wow, these two songs actually do go together really well! This theme would fit well if there was a story where Diesel changed his ways, perhaps when Class 08s began to be withdrawn and scrapped on the mainland.
Have you perchance seen 'Revolutionary Redemption'? well actually I know ya have I saw you in the comment section of one of those episodes, nevermind lol.

And Duck.....I'm...very sorry. It was I who started all that prattle about you insulting the other engines."
"Delightful Diesel" So, a more positive-sounding version of diesel's theme? Okay, let's have a listen. "Stand By Diesel" Oh! Oh wow, I was not ready for that! That's really made my evening!
The Beautiful Girls Stand by Diesel. LYRICS: "When the Night has come, And the land is Dark, And the moon is the only light we'll see. No I won't be afraid, No, I won't shed a tear. I have always liked Diesel as a character. Felt that there was a lot of hidden potential there. I am glad with how Victor Tanzing and T1E2H3 handled him in their respective AUs.
I honestly first thought that the Harbour Theme from Season 3 and Stand by Me by Ben E. King would work perfectly together. Ah well this works too I guess! Can't wait to see for what comes next!
Duck- “The first time I saw diesel, I was only a few decades old. It happened in the summer of 1957, a long time ago” Gawd I love this song and the movie Stand By Me. This is really great work man!
Two of my absolute favorite things from my childhood (including one of my absolute favorite songs) together! This is awesome! Also surprised how well this works in a major key.

Wow just wow. This is probably what would have happened if Springtime for Diesel was made in the classic era or if Thomas and the Evil Diesel was ever adapted.

I agree, it’s like a story focusing on Diesel, where he has a redemption arc or pulling a train.

What if Thomas and the Evil Diesel was adapted for the show?
So Thomas & The Evil Diesel would set in between Season 3 and Season 4 as the final time Jupiter synth music is used
Thomas and the not so evil Diesel
Then diesel probably wouldn’t be much of a bad guy
I would have loved to see that. It would have been nice to see Diesel have a proper redemption.

Ooooh, I love how this sounds! Nice job!
What if Diesel was actually like Arthur Fleck, and the prank pulled by Duck was the last straw for him?
Even worse since he wasn’t able to prove his worth first, if you think about it,
It wasn’t a prank; Duck didn’t intentionally set Diesel up to fail. Diesel was just so eager to show off that he didn’t ask where the right cars were.
Diesel was also arrogant and slightly two-faced. So Duck’s “prank” was well-deserved.
