Addition to the end, but when Diluc leaves he takes the delusion his father used and hunts down the fatui in Snezhnaya(I believe it may be the doctor who gave Crepus the delusion originally). Diluc's costume that came out is supposedly from the time he spent running around with the delusion.
From what I remember, Diluc was forced to end his father's life to end his suffering from the wound he got from the Delusion. Kaeya himself in the manga says that it was Diluc who killed his old man (as mercy killing).
They look so much better in the manga especially Diluc
And also the last part is that somehow a vase broke in the dawn winery (idk how it broke, I don’t even know if it even broke) but kaeya bought Diluc a new vase and Diluc looked inside to see his vision. You can see the vase if you go into the dawn winery too

But his dad saying “you are our only hope” *after saying ur gonna get a drink?! Totally not weird at all* could be hinting that his dad knew what would happened to kha’nriyah or something and he left kaeya so there would be atleast someone from kha’nriyah.
I can only assume this was after the cataclysm the destroyed Khaenri’ah since that did take place about 500 years ago from when you play in the game and ,as far as I know, Diluc and Kaeya are infact not over 500 years old
@@rosehobo1165yeah, you pretty much meet Kaeya's ancestors in the Caribert quest. Kaeya is not full khaenrian, I think.
This is honestly one of the most heartbreaking tales of two brothers I can imagine. I've even tried thinking up more terrible ones, and I can't. But it's a beautiful, beautiful story.

There's one more detail regarding Diluc's vision! Kaeya kept it safe, and one day he gifted a vase to Diluc, to which he reluctantly accepted. Within the vase however, was Diluc's old vision that Kaeya hid inside it. The vase is brought up during Venti's story quest by Kaeya, and Diluc quite blatantly lies about having "no recollection" of the vase.

The vase in dawn winery was a gift to Diluc from Kaeya after someone broke a vase, and even though Diluc said he wouldn’t accept it evidently he did. Also Kaeya put Diluc’s vision in there when he gifted it

The saddest thing about crepus’s death was that it was on Diluc’s 18th birthday
Pretty sure we know who the 10th of the fatui harbingers was he probably abandoned his role as a fatui harbingers so the fatui organized this beast to kill crepus or force him to use his delusion

So. Diluc father had a delusion? Does that make him a fatui harbinger, or part of the fatui? Or did he quit being one, or stole the delusion? Because only the fatui has some. Only thoughts, don’t take this seriously. :)
See the only problem is how the hell did kaeya get adopted when they had no legal guardianship papers-
My second, not as big problem is i hate how the english translation turns sworn brothers into just adoptive brothers because making them sworn brothers would make the story so much sadder
