    Thank you for creating such an informative tutorial on the basics of using Solid Edge. Your clear explanations and detailed demonstrations were incredibly helpful. Best regards! 2nd year mechatronics student.

      @Yogicos87 Thank you so much for the feedback. I wish you all the best. I used to teach Mechatronics and Robotics back in the eighties as part of the Synthesis Coalition (1982-1990).

    Very good tutorial. Nicely spoken, a good pace, in the steps taken and in the speech, to follow the tutorial while you try the steps in your own application. The only small thing it would like to give you is, can you please show the full screen when you select something from the toolbar. I think by doing that it will give your tutorials that little extra. Thank you for creating and sharing it!

    I have been adviced not to use circle option for holes but actually the hole option because it is easier to correct if the holes need to be changed (type, depth, diameter etc)

    • @drmseif
      @drmseif  10 месяцев назад

      You should be fine using any command including holes.

    Took me ages to figure out that at about 10:42 you pressed 't' to get the measurement of 0.1mm, to fix the alignment, instead of the measurement of 7mm. I'm only picking up on this as this guide is explicitly for absolute beginners, so you need to really verbalise every little step/keypress (or caption it) or we just end up replaying the same 15 seconds of video for literally 10 minutes trying to see what you did differently (but ofc, it isn't visible in the video, it happened on your desk 😅) - I think everything else in the video was better explained though, it is a shame that your computer seems to lag a lot as it made it a little harder to follow but I got there eventually!

    An excellent video for someone, like me, with absolutely no experience using Solid Edge. Well structured and unhurried. Just what I needed. So thank you for making it available to us. I do have a couple of comments, which I hope are helpful.
    I had one section I struggled with initially, namely the use of the “Trim” command at 6:45. Because the menu is not visible at this point, it was quite some time before I found the right command to use.
    At 18:45 the viewing mode changes to rotate the drawing, and the mouse cursor changes accordingly. How did you do that?

    @drmseif Hello !
    I have been watching your tutorials quite long ago.
    and now back to refresh my knowledge.
    I forgot almost everyting, or so I thaught, untill I watched one of your new tutorials, everything came back at once. One thing though.
    Is it possible that you can include some of your old tutorials, and add something to make some assemblies ?
    Thank you for your effort and good tutorials..

    The problem with your tutorial is that it looks nothing like my interface (brand new install).
    So, I can't do anything you are doing using the commands you are using.
    No of anyone who has a better tutorial??

    So a tutorial for absolute beginners, start by telling me that I need to be in synchronous, but doesn´t tell me how to do that. I also don´t even have the navigation tree thingy on the left

    • @drmseif
      @drmseif  11 месяцев назад +3

      I am so sorry for the confusion. I will post a video on how to do that. Thanks for pointing out this issue. I witnessed in my class a lot of students asking the same questions.

    If you still are accepting viewers' files,I have a simple shape that needs - I think - two planes to create it. I tried everything from your tutorials but was unable to draw it. The only way I can see it being drawn is in two parts, but I would love to have it in one piece. How can I send it to you?
