@@k0olmini11 i don't care for blue because it has the bonkers cards, but i'd rather see him play the most boring control deck cube could produce instead of another draft of twin/kiki combo
I don’t usually watch the game play personally. I actually mostly watch for the picks and card evaluation myself. That’s actually the part I enjoy the most.
watched the entirety of this in the hope that brimaz would get some play time. Then as soon as he hit the field opponent scooped. Makes sense cus of how cool brimaz is but still sad he didnt get any air time.
I love me some good cube, I enjoy LSVs videos, I really enjoy powered cubes in general. But man, oh man. Maybe I missed the exception but it feels like every single one of the vintage cube videos (LSV or otherwise) i have seen has been "Blueish control/maybe with a combo kill". At some point its like watching the exact same deck, with very minor variations (oh this one kills with twin, oh this one kills with tinker). Its like..is this cube able to produce any other kind of deck that is actually good? Just watching these you would think no other arch-type exists, or are clearly traps and inferior (which might well be true). I totally get what I am watching is a few select people with clear preferences (If I were doing these people would get tired of me drafting mono red for the 5th time too). It just feels like all of these vintage cube drafts and utterly interchangeable, and the only variety we get is when people are doing wacky stipulation drafts. Those are fun and a nice change of pace, but it feels off when that's the only way to get different decks. Its compounded by how this cube is pretty static with only a few changes here or there, so you could say that the cumulative the vintage cube drafts for the last few years taken all together have essentially been variations on the exact same deck. Dunno, maybe I'm just getting bored of vintage cube? Clearly LSV is enjoying it and lots of comments praise every one of these videos, I must be the minority. I suppose I'll just wait till we get some of the wacky different cubes and videos for "Khans + cube" or "Grixis Cube" or etc. To get my fill of a variety of different deck types.
I think it's just a living showcase of how unbalanced the colors of magic are in terms of historical power. Think about the power 9. 6 artifacts and 3 blue cards. All of those artifacts are best used in tandem with those other 3 blue cards. Blue has historically been the most powerful color by a country mile. Also, red ftw. :D
(LSV) Mono-Green, Mono-Red, and Mono-White are all good, and it just hasn't come up that I've drafted Black reanimator or green-based decks so far. Blue is clearly the best, and many decks will end up using it, but there are other decks too, I just haven't ended up there.
Mono red/white/green archetypes are still great, but LSV never play those because they are kinda brainless to draft and to play. If you want more variations there are Gaby, Numotthenummy, Caleb Gannon and probably many others, while not being at a LSV-level, who also make great Vintage Cube content.
Oh maybe there's a simpler answer: this is Vintage, and in Vintage blue is the best color. There are no bombs like Ancestral Recall or Time Walk in other colors.
I love these drafts but the audio sync issues have been really annoying on the last couple videos. Started much earlier on this one too. It's not just on my end, right?
I thought the vortex was the pick P1p2...it will never ever leave our cube, destroys in any Rx or XR aggro. Might be our fave aggro card, or mayb Geddon. Regardless, dope deck u came up with!
Do you really think Fractured is moxen level good? I have it more in line w/ Shelldock. Both are busted but can be slow - fractured is more powerful since it's removal too but it's also usually a splash. Still a card you're happy to P1P1 though.
(LSV) it's pretty close tbh, I think Fractured is probably below moxen and mana crypt, but above mana drain, library, mana vault, and other cards in that range
I see Stoneforge Mystic and the swords tabling in a lot of my cube drafts as well. I think people underestimate how powerful protection from a colour can be, even in cube.
It took LSV mentioning that he would need some way to increase Dreadhorde Arcanist's power to cast Time Walk for me to realise that it doesn't have Prowess. I'm not sure why I just assumed it did.
I can literally never have enough of lsv and cube
Agreed. Love the cube drafts but I really don’t like forcing blue and twin. Seems extremely extremely repetitive
(LSV) same

@@allan7236 I wanna see azorious control
Could give a shit what he plays it’s always fun
I want somebody to look at me the way LSV looks at fractured identity
LSV not picking Riftwing, 2020 is a strange year
Nobody:
LSV: Twin is open
"Let's see if I can head on over to a third land dot com" made me chuckle
These videos have been coming out right after I finish work. Perfect for the bus home and making dinner, thank you!
Sick manabase, damn.
You're spoiling us with all these cube videos LSV
Lsv these cube drafts have been a blessing
Gotta comment to help the algorithm just love this content so much.
Everyone in LVS’s draft pod: Did they remove lands from this cube??
21:09 calls lightning strike "bolt", draws bolt. i'd look further into this power
To be fair to Lightning Strike, what it does when you cast it is Lightning Bolt something.
Also happens at 26:00 (where he sees a Bolt from Impulse rather than drawing it).
Top men.
Ah, you are spoiling us with all that great content and I love it! :)
Bless the vintage cube drafts
Hands down my favorite deck you've drafted. Mono black storm was amazing too tho
i see the Time walk thumbnail, i already know LSV made the video
55 minute vintage cube video...what wonderful surprises will I find in this whirlwind draft?
I don’t usually watch the game play personally. I actually mostly watch for the picks and card evaluation myself. That’s actually the part I enjoy the most.
LSV uses Cube Walk: Take an extra Cube Draft after this one 😇😇 Thank you!
G1 opponent had an INSANE cube deck! holy smokes
watched the entirety of this in the hope that brimaz would get some play time. Then as soon as he hit the field opponent scooped. Makes sense cus of how cool brimaz is but still sad he didnt get any air time.
I really like the match 1 opponents deck. It was sweet
didnt notice opponent mulliganed to 4 r1g2. Don't think I've ever seen anyone go that low since london mulligan
Nice draft! Loved the video.

yeah that was a pretty ridiculous statement
(LSV) it's pretty close tbh, I think Fractured is probably below moxen and mana crypt, but above mana drain, library, mana vault, and other cards in that range
@@ChannelFireball Its basically like the best control magic variant right? But doesn't the 5 mana cost still give it a ceiling on power level?
@ThisIsMyRealName yeah I see the two colors as a lower cost than the cmc in cube but it certainly is a cost
OPs deck in game 1 looked so sweet
Kinda sad. Really wanted to see Control Magic --> Splinter Twin on Oracle ftw. :D
Is there a place where I can see your personal cube list LSV?
Just like the second match, I've sometimes entertained the idea of pivoting into aggro scoop.
More vintage cube plz!
4 color not green is my favorite archetype everywhere
I think the first deck ran golos to get cradle then grabbed the green duals and found leovold
Was anyone else hoping for the Control Magic Thassa's Oracle -> Twin Thassa's Oracle line?
Would have been cool but it was several turns away unfortunately
F for narset/wheel combo
22:50 crack the clue in case you draw miscalculation
There were some ops with busted decks there, geesh...
It's tough with all the fetches, but that color-source arithmetic during deck building was painful.
Terror of the peaks was good in Sneak Attack deck.
Rd 1 opp’s deck is basically the same deck I always draft in paper
To be fair skullclamp plus seasoned could have been their whole plan that game lol
I always forget gearhulk is just instants.
Reckless charge is the best cube worthy card for dreadhorde archanist imo, Or grafted wargear.
Toss a like onto your youtube channel?
Alright.
every LSV draft i hope its not going to be blue red. most of the time i am disappoint
I see Stoneforge Mystic and the swords tabling in a lot of my cube drafts as well. I think people underestimate how powerful protection from a colour can be, even in cube.
Thats cause swords are a trap.
How many people do you think passed Emmy then immediately saw a TTB and cried?
11:25 tithe taker over sword. Bold strategy L s v!!
Lsv the best!
F ----------- Riftwing
tef3ri sure is a messed up card
Take the VolC
"Channel 3rd land.com" lol
15:25
Great
This deck was such a pile.

Can we have the old LSV back? Immediately pivot to Sulfuric Vortex pack 1 pick 2, take Goblin Guide pack 2 pick 1, then wheel Wasteland?
Urza is easily as good as Fractured Identity.
No Brimaz over shark typhoon? You’re rarely going to be casting it and making a small flier at instant speed and drawing a card doesn’t seem very good
