I just watched the movie “all of us strangers“ and there is a bit where this song comes on and I just started crying really hard in the theater and I couldn’t figure out why. I only recently lost my mother to a battle against cancer. It was devastating. But this song dislodged a memory I forgot. When I was really little, my mom would play this song a lot and we would sing it together and I guess I forgot all about it. What a great song. I’m so grateful to be able to hear it again.

Wow brings back wonderful memories growing up in Manchester England in the late seventies and early eighties watching top off the pops on a Thursday night with mum dad and all my brothers and sisters loved my childhood in England we were very poor but we as all together living in a council house my 6 brothers and 2 sisters and mum and dad still can remember having chips and peas and a hot cup off tea
The best thing about this version is that Neil Tennant sings it at almost the same tempo as Elvis did, so for all the brash electro sounds it’s still a faithful cover.
