Many thanks @HSTPaul, we generally find that LSL aren’t too far away when we go somewhere lol, they’re either going to the same destination or one close to it for some reason.
@Shoddy127 they must be following you lol most of the time when I'm able to get out for tours it's usually only ever one. But I live in Kent and we don't get that much apart from the VSOE which is usually a 67.
So very sorry to hear of the passing of your friend, Craig Potter and seeing the name plate on the Black Five certainly did him proud. Lovely trip on the Reading to Taunton line which I've experienced earlier on the last day of HST from Plymouth to London Paddington in May 2019 on youtube. This is the second trip I've had going the opposite direction the first being a DMU Hastings diesel doing the run to Hereford, then Newport via Westbury, Bath and Bristol then the Severn tunnel. Lovely line with gorgeous country views. Thank you for a high class video, much appreciated.
Site of Enborne Junction at 29:10. DNS line to Winchester and Southampton went off to the left. At 29:22 you can see the road overbridge at the far left of the screen.

Hi @@nickbrown4196, it was Driver Chris Yates & Fireman Fraser Birrell. The credits at the end of the video showed that T.I Pete Roberts was also on 44871. Thank you for the kind comment about Craig & Paul!
Great video as always. A great catch as well seeing the LSL charter.

@Shoddy127 yeah, I didn't get a chance to see it when it was doing the rounds through Kent, didn't get the time off unfortunately
Great to see this as I wasn't on this one.

Wow 2 tour past through
At 1.43.20. the train passes the abutment of the Somerset & Dorset line which crossed at this point.
Many thanks Les!
Brilliant video, thank you. On a seperate issue how did they manage to make the electrification so ugly?
Great British engineering I guess haha!
You are back, after 8 months
Indeed @@mrmemory3.14, apologies for the break in videos but everyday life gets in the way sometimes lol
Nice Footage there. Was Craig a Steam Driver at the East Lancs?
@@lnerrules-iw6ry He was yes, and a fireman for West Coast Railways.
Will there come a time when steam trains will be allowed to go faster than they limited to do now ?
Hi @@mikkie444, maybe but who knows, that will require a lot more paperwork!
I imagine your mate Craig will be up there, firing a loco with Paul Kane in the chair. Who was on the handle and on the shovel for this one?
