This song song came out within days of a horrific break-up with my first love and the love of my life, over a misunderstanding we didn't discover until 25 years later! It made my cry then as it does now. I couldn't listen to music for several years. Then, in 1986, I saw Dave live at the Hampton Beach Casino. I went with a guy on my first date since the break-up, who enticed me with a ticket to the concert and who turned out to be a royal jerk. When Dave began this song, I left the table and walked to the back of the room just behind and to the side of the stage. I stood there frozen under the archway, trying to hold back the tears. And though I'm quite sure he doesn't remember it, in the middle of the song he turned around and our eyes locked for several seconds. When the concert was over and the crowd had all cleared out, I'd hoped to tell him how much this song meant to me, but when alone in the hall with my date standing a few feet away, Dave nodded to me as he walked past me and I just nodded back without a word. I said nothing because 1) what this song meant, and still means to me, defies description and, 2) I was afraid that the guy I was with who talked non-stop in a loud and obnoxious voice would not only embarrass the hell out of me but also subject Dave to a lot of ridiculous blather. Though I have really liked several bands over the years, I'm not a follower of bands. (Leonard Cohen is the closest thing I've had to an idol in the industry.) I never knew all the names of the band members, all the names of every song of a band, etc., like so many do, but this man and this song will forever remain in my heart. I so wish I could see him this summer in Derry, NH but I haven't been able to leave my house since the pandemic began and doubt I will ever be able to go to a concert (or a movie or restaurant) again because of Covid and all the other bugs now running around, along with the arrival of the Super Bug, since I am in two high-risk categories for death. But, that's life I guess. Much love to Dave and his band! 💞

But, that’s a different story. Dave was and is a great song writer. And I thank him for many years of pissing off my neighbors putting this song on 11….
Other than "We Just Disagree" and "Words" what other songs did Jim Krueger contribute to?... Dave Mason and Jim Krueger were able to fill an auditorium with awesome pure gold sound with only two guitars and no other band was needed. Jim Krueger passed away much too soon but Dave Mason has helped him live on..
Saw you in the late 80s in Sacramento. You were nice to your fans signed their albums took photos even when you were exhausted you didn’t leave until the last one.
We met backstage in Lincoln Nebraska winter 1975. One of the few concert nights I still remember. We shook hands. I was struck by how large your hands were, yet they were so nimble on the guitar. Great concert!
