I’m 14 and when I was 7 (in 3rd grade) I had a 5cm cyst the size of a golf ball that was on my left tibia that apparently had been there since I was born I had to have it surgically removed and the doctor said my bone was as thin as tissue paper and he was surprised I didn’t break my leg. They said it wasn’t cancerous but my right tibia started giving me issues about a year and a half ago so I went to the doctor and it ended up being another cyst but they said it was going away on it own and that it wasn’t that big but just a month ago my lower back started giving me problems so I getting it checked out soon wish me luck

Hey everyone... i am 24 years old, i was diagnosed with aneurysmal bone cyst on my right lower pelvic area 2 years ago(the cyst caused a small rapture on my bone. It is located at the area where my leg connects wih my pelvis)
It had grown up to 15 cm and i had 2 sessions of embolization. They put some tiny spheres into the main artery that was giving blood into the cyst in order to prevent it from growing even more.
Both of the embolization sessions were successful and the cyst decreased down to 10cm.
I managed to retrieve some of my legs flexibility. Ive been having mri scans every 6 months ever since and next month ill have a 3d mri.
Im looking forward to the results because i want to start exercising again... i wanna be able to run again without worrying...

@i n t h e g a r d e n hey thanks for your concern. My condition is still the same, the cyst has remained stable now, its like its sleeping. I still do an MRI every 6 months however i can't do any exhausting physical activity like run, lift weights or stand still for extended periods of time.
What kind of treatment are you aiming for?.

@i n t h e g a r d e n sorry to hear that. How big is the cyst? I think that the smaller it is the safer it is to exercise.

@i n t h e g a r d e n aw.. im very sorry to hear that....thats what i was also told, if i were to have an accident on my pelvis area my pelvis might break, making me unable to walk again.
      How old are you?

Yes, 7 months ago at my tibia. I had a tibial intralesional curettage, burring,
cryotherapy, and allograft bone grafting for the purposes of removing tumor in right tibia. I've got nerve damage at the top of my foot and I limp. I'm due for an MRI now and need them every 6 months for 3 years. Pretty scary.

@@SamplingPercussion Thanks for that. Note to self do not do surgery.

@@RonkeStation join the facebook ABC group. You can get injections too but it depends how much destruction the tumor has done to your bone. If it's eaten part of it you can risk a breakage. That's real. So that's why they use equivabone to fill what was eaten up by the ABC.
