I'm also annoyed that I recorded this when I was so tired! I wasn't able to react as hype as I wanted to! But it would be fake of me to re-record so I think this is the best outcome. I enjoyed spicy ALOT! Even while editing, I was jamming to that song! Still not a huge fan of the other ones but all in all, Aespa still slayed!

aespa said in an interview that spicy was a demo that they got way back when the group had just debuted and the girls were the ones to ask to record it and release as a comeback. i'm sure they had a lot of say in the concept and fashion of the mv as well so that's why i think it feels so fresh and campy. it's also one of my favorites too especially because of this detail, i really wish companies giving idols creative control over their projects becomes some kind of new normal soon, it makes everything feel more special
i'm sure not all idols have interest in producing or writing music but when they at least get to choose outfits and concepts that make them feel comfortable and confident makes such a difference. i really see that with mamamoo

Thank you for reacting to Aespa. They’re my favorite GG at the moment with LSF second. They can be pretty chaotic which made me like them even more. Most unique 4th gen GG concept imo. Seeing another GG do Aespa core for their concept makes me anticipate it even more. An easy way to differentiate between karina and winter is just know karina is the center and always opens the songs plus raps. Winter usually does the high notes and will have short hair. Karina will never have short hair in any of the music videos.
