You're supposed to slip the bottom of the flashlight down the top and it slips quite nicely into place, and you can pull it out the way you put it in of course but not recommended to put in that way.

you could slide the light in and out, you don't necessarily need to snap it on the charger.

@@therugergeneral It won't drop into place, you still need to pull it into position.

    "hidden strobe function"
It isn't a hidden function, that's just how it's activated. That's how most strobe functions are activated.
By your logic the dimming functions would be considered hidden as well.
Also when you put the flashlight in the charging cradle you're supposed to put the handle in then slide it into place. That's why the contact pins are surrounded by the wedge shape that comes to a hard stop.

If you’re worried about ruining your natural “night vision”, doesn’t matter what lumens the white light is. It’s white light, you’re screwed. If you need to preserve your night vision, you need a red light

that the problem with streamlight product.. they only use cheap cool white led that look blueish on their product.. other manufacture such as fenix and olight all using neutral and warmer colour that make the object that we shine more appear colour... im regret buying streamlight stinger... my cheap chinese $18 astrolux c8 is far more bright and throw far and i can choose between cool white or neutral led... im prefer neutral and warm led to use because it never ruin my eye... you should try buy any convoy product and choose a warmer led such as 4000k or 5000k to use and feel the different... the use of red light is more irrating to me because the colour of object is none if using it...

I think you're supposed to set those handle in first and pull it backwards into it locks into place don't push straight down and it won't snap into place so hard?

You need to probably replace the battery, also Streamlight sales a piggy back charger that can charge a spare battery along with your flashlight. That is what I carry for on duty and if the battery dies I have a fresh one in my bag.

I have a suggestion, as I can not find one single example of upgrading the guts on an old streamlight ultrastinger. I have 2 I'd like to do. Thanks

streamlight is low on lumen....for almost the same price better go with olight or fenix product.. olight warrior pro is more than 2000lumen and throw far more than any stinger.. my cheap $30 astrolux ft03 is ten more bright than my stinger HL.... honestly im regret buying streamlight..

    hahahaha nice start of vid!!
    nice review.
(you might consider a more floody light like the Thorfire S70 or Convoy L6 for these situations but those do not have a nice wall charging bracket.

Hi nice video can u tell me how does it charge. Is it through the triangular 2 contact points? Opposite the light switch. Thank to anyone that responses.Ace

    • @Lumencraft-
      @Lumencraft-  7 лет назад

Yes, that's correct. There are electrical contacts on the back that engage when it's snapped into place.

My stinger won't turn off. Is there a setting the stinger has that makes it stay on? Cause mine won't turn off at all even with the cap off.

Your flashlight is damaged. Send it into streamlight. They will repair it for free.

probable will make a video on how to fix that, its not the light or at least it wasnt on mine, for some reason i was only haveing that issue on aftermarket battery's, at first i thought something was up and it was a smarter light or batt pack than meets the eye and it was only wanting genuine packs, but it was a simple fix of insulating the top ring on the pack from grounding out to the case and completing the circuit of the light. a small peice of electrical tape fixed the issue, it also made the pack fit snugger in the case and got rid of my rattling issue

  • @susieangelique2669

NO NO NO you are supposed to slide the flashlight into the charger starting at the smallest end, and then when it is charged, you just push it back out. You need to do a new video!!!
