So sad. Basically, the film is much like a loving and sad retelling of George Carlin's "The planet will be fine. The people are fucked", but leaving out the cynicism.
Not in my lifetime, but it’s coming…
Beautiful message 👍🏻
I agree with you 👍
I wouldn't be so sure about it not being in your lifetime. We have until 2030 to halve carbon output, in order to avert extinction. So, if we miss that deadline, then chances are these scenes will play out in the next few decades.
@@traveledheliozoan502 yeah. I think even Xers and Boomers may be surprised how much this will be in their lifetimes. My guess is that as an older Millennial, I'll be among the last to have a chance at reaching retirement age, Zoomers will be the last to reach their 40s, and Alpha will be the last to reach adulthood.

Earth Abides by George R. Stewart
A fictional story that is becoming a factual story one that our own children may have to face fist hand and the sad thing is. Its a story of our own making. Great film thankyou.
The ending is wonderful..I love it ❤ very relevant to the current situation..
I love it! This is really really dark and the animation is incredible.
Somehow, I think back to the COVID-19 pandemic, and I realize how much worse it could all have been - and it was already nothing short of devastating. This film captures the impact of the pandemic and amplifies it a thousand times to give us a dark, yet incredibly enlightening message about the fact that no one is indestructible. Very well done to all those involved! :)
Fully agree!
Think back to the pandemic!!! Were in it still and it is not going away!!
Fabulous - so well done. Not much "Solace" (as New Yorker describes it) but excellent.
this is some fantastic work!
J'ai eu envie d'applaudir !

😭😭 🌳🌱🌲🌎🌍🌿 ❤️❤️ love
Truth!
This short movie reminds me of the covid pandemic and how bad it became, I want to know why is she only in color and no one else?
I guess that the only way one can truly see real beauty is for the old earth to die and to be reborn... ❤️😜
We’ve still got it!!!
